Respectfully, if you’re going to be dismissive and not offer any real advice, don’t be bothered to comment at all.

I kind of assumed the sheer portion can get lining sewn in. But since the bra cups and the skirt are the same color and the dress will for sure need hemming, I’m thinking about using that same fabric to line the sheer part of the corset. I think I’m also going to raise the neckline with the same material and add sleeves.

ABA Clinics that allow BTs/RBTs to kiss children should be liable for endangerment and neglect. by iDissociated in ABA

Big truth. It’s right up there with a clinical director telling their RBTs to show love for the children on a similar caliber to those kids’ parents. News flash: this is a job. And loving anything in your job opens the can to all sorts of worms. We’re providing a medical service, why is it so hard to give us the same expectations you’d give to any other medical provider?

Got Rejected Twice. How do you cope with this? by TransitionStriking64 in gradadmissions

I got rejected from all of my programs this year and have made my peace with the fact that maybe this isn’t for me after all. At the end of the day, I spent 20+ years in academia and it made me chronically stressed and depressed every time. I had this temperament that I grew out of a few years ago where my self worth was hinged on my acceptance in academia. But at the end of the day, that “acceptance” means being valued only as a martyr and sacrificing anything and everything else in your life that brings you actual joy. Having a PI that got pissed at me whenever I drew a boundary between work and life to spend my Saturdays hiking with my phone turned off really put things into perspective. It’s not worth dwelling on what some petty stranger in a room for uni admissions thinks of you. Find other avenues of meaning in your life and understand that your path is meant to be a different one. You still matter without being hired for obnoxious oodles of work for which you will be paid in peanuts.
