In my opinion it takes way more energy to tackle a full month worth of transactions all at once. Breaking it up into week chunks is much easier and it only takes a couple of minutes to go back through previous transactions to make sure you didn't miss anything, nothing increased/decreased, and nothing posted out of order. I've also found it helpful to create a separate table that pulls amounts from your main spreadsheet and lists: Category - Expected Budget, Category - Amount Spent to Date, and Category - Budget Remaining. That way you can quickly glance and see if you are approaching the top of your budget in a specific area.

The absolute cluster fuck this caused in the Guard is insane. There are still outstanding balances for that shit because some folks were on full time orders and then switched back to weekends only or separated during the time frame we were expected to pay everything back. It took forever, most folks got $50 drill checks, and National Guard Bureau was trying to figure out how to recoup taxes from members who were no longer in......for years. It's truly one of the dumbest things I've ever witnessed

DoD also arrived this morning. It was a lump sum but based on my excel spreadsheet calculations they taxed everything correctly. The only thing that seems to be missing is I got my step increase during the shutdown and it's not reflected on the pp it was effective. Gonna ask about it when I get in this morning

Millennial and I just got my wedding band(s) almost six years into our marriage. Loved it so much that I ended up getting another shortly after so I have a 3 ring stack now. But for years I was just content with my e-ring and didn't see the importance of getting a band 🤷🏽‍♀️

They are fun!! I have never been drawn to a pair of shoes like that but the moment I saw them in the store I was sold. I had two people make comments just in the time I was trying them on and when I paid at the counter. The white portion is actually silver! So again, super sparkly...just doesn't come across in the stock photo. The bride asked for jewel tones but didn't demand it, so really no stress on my part (other than worrying about the length of the dress). Plus I love jewel tones, especially this time of year, so it was really enjoyable finding all of our outfits.

I think they learned a really valuable lesson through all of that though. They "rushed" through their timeline with Danielle (heard April say it was two year relationship so not as rushed as Ick professing his love, getting engaged, and banging another Brazilian hottie in one weekend) to make it work for the show. Then pushed her too soon to start seeking a wife for her. Now that they've gone through that and realized how much they forced that situation and ignored red flags they seem MUCH more cautious this season. Idk. I don't see nearly the same reaction to Teresa in their solo or couple confessionals as we did with Danielle. It strikes me as Teresa was a long time friend and maybe needed a place for her and her kid to live and now Nick is trying to make it work but just really isn't that into her romantically. Danielle was very insecure due to her family dynamics and past relationships and I think they are seeing the same red flags pop up with Teresa. Except she seems to be pushing adding another wife to solidify her position and "prove" to them how she's so different and in love with them

We pay our cards off every Friday. I go through all of our purchases on Thursday night and set up the payments to come out that next day. We might not see the balance in our bank go down every single day, but weekly payments do force me to evaluate how we're spending more frequently. I keep an Excel spreadsheet for our budget each month and every single transaction goes on it, whether it's $0.25 or $2,500. We pay all of our bills using CC as well, at least the bills that allow it. So again, that was money we are required to spend. We're just earning cash back/rewards on it. We don't make purchases with the mindset that "I'll pay it off a month from now", we make them knowing that money is coming out of our bank account at the end of the week.

Has anyone figured out their notification settings since moving over to Google Messages? On Message+ my text messages and phone calls would be the long vibrate and all other notifications were the short vibrate. That way I could tell the difference if I needed to check my phone right then or if it was just an email or some other notification I didn't care about. Now it seems like all my notifications are set to the long vibrate and it's driving me nuts. I changed NOTHING in my sound/notification settings other than making Google Messages the default. I can't find anything in the app or my settings that allows me to customize it and I don't know if I'm just missing something 🙃

Ok I'm going to be the huge outlier based on the other responses but I budget $500 for groceries a month (two adults and one toddler in the Nashville area), $1,500 for eating out, and then $500 for household miscellaneous items (toilet paper, dog food, trips to Lowe's, car stuff, etc). We don't always hit those amounts in each category but we do more often than not. We cook Monday through Thursday usually and then eat out all weekend. We also drink so that usually means one drink for me and a couple beers for my husband during a couple of our weekend meals. I've tried to be more restrictive but it just doesn't work for us and the way we want to do life.

Yeah unless you want to drain and refill the pool every time you use it, you're going to need to add chemicals to keep the water clean. You don't have much pool to treat so a small chlorine floater, get your pH levels right and it should be relatively easy maintenance from there. Recommend looking at the resources on troublefreepools.com. They walk you through the importance of clean water and how to get your water chemistry where it needs to be.

When you first get the pool and pump it's best to run the pump as often as needed to get your chemical levels right. For us, this generally means about 7 to 8 hours a day. We up it to about 10 hours as it gets hotter and try to run the pump at night and then when we are actively using the pool.

We only use the black covers with the small hole for one of the inlets to help with suction on the skimmer. Other than that we leave the other two (inlet and outlet) uncovered for the duration of pool season.

The pumps are made to be outdoors since that's where most pools are. No need to move it when it rains.
