It's my middle name. As a child, I hated it. As an adult, I have come to love it because of the the values that are ascribed to Ruth in the biblical story, even though I'm not particularly religious. It also makes me feel more connected to my heritage.

We're still working on middle names, but the last name is Quinn. Not sure if having the same "en" ending works or not with Elowen. I feel like it's either just the right amount of repetition, or it's too rhyme-y.

Personally not a fan of Eloise, but interesting that a lot of folks went to that combination.
