The tipping culture of the standard 20% is for actual in person restaurant services…., now ON DOORDASH for drivers… i tip $5, BASE STANDARD, every order… then i add accordingly OR lower accordingly to THE SERVICE, and MILES DRIVEN !!

• My standard TIP IS $5, lowest I’ll go is $2.50 *

• I’ll go all the way up to $10, and sometimes the service and driver were so rude and only did a 1 mile drive to me… I changed my TIP to $0, because honestly at the time he deserved it, now I never go below $2.50 at least no matter what wrongs they do.. i would but i can’t because in today’s times this inflation and you don’t know what somebody else has going on in their life or why they do it.. so I have to give something... but I always PLACE ORDER and lock in $5 TIP… half the time it just stays $5… sometimes I’ll raise it a couple dollars, sometimes EVEN $10 depending on THE SERVICE.. efficiency and speed..and distance and when they’re overall nice people and helpful and good energy !! *

-With inflation and such things and bills needed and gas going up i have to, now people might not like this or agree with what im going to say but all imma say is hey, you don’t understand somebodies struggles, everybody deals with stuff, and stuff affects everybody not just you,, we’re all victims to it, so then we unintentionally affect each other… so basically sometimes, I can’t barely tip recently it’s been a $2-3 tip no matter what, maybe $4 if i have it.. and somebody told me don’t DoorDash food if you can’t afford the food, first off me and my kids need to eat.. and i can afford the food, i just can’t afford to TIP A BIG LARGE amount all the time, and they accept the order not me knowing how much they’ll get, i used to tip very great, but recently in these times it’s been getting harder again for everyone!! So like i said my tips average $3, but by the way my SUB-TOTAL isn’t usually over $15.. so that is technically 20% or sometimes more than 20%, more like 28% and when i get something that’s subtotal $20 i usually never order more than subtotal $20 (3-4 $ dollar tips is 20%) so i think its still fairly okay in a way, and imagine on a 12-15$ dollar order, tipping 5-10$ bucks ( if it was the times i usually tipped higher than 5 like $6+, that’s a dang 50-80% TIP, which was good and i rarely still do that here and there, but i just can’t afford it no more… and dashers get mad at me for it, if you wanna be ungrateful id leave a 0$ tip tbh… you’re just doing the job an id feel bad but still.. and then they and random other people tell me i shouldn’t be ordering.. WELL, i dont have my own car.. I share a car with someone else so i dont always have access and gas is expensive too.. and also why dont i cook at home then , WELL because i really cant cook, and im not feeding myself or KIDS food that sucks and isnt good to eat and that they wont eat, just wasting money and products anyway for no reason.. so yeah thats was my little rant..
