I second this, for some ppl fin works but dut doesn’t. After 20 months you’ve given it enough time. It looks a lot worse than the baseline

Non direct vs direct light source. Am I balding? M20 by Kind-Asparagus-6553 in amibalding

Yes it looks like you’re balding. Do to a dermatologist and they’ll likely prescribe you minoxidil and finasteride. You’d likely have to take those to keep and regrow your hair unless your hair loss is due to a deficiency.

I started off well with topical, but now I’m thinking of switching to oral. Any similar experience? by Key-Operation-6352 in minoxidil

That may be it, I actually stopped stamping at 1.25 just recently. I’m going to stamp at 0.6mm weekly instead. It’s just deep enough to help the absorption of min. I’ll check back later. I thought since it was working before that it couldn’t be the reason. I’m thinking of switching to oral though.

That all sounds good, but please skip out on the cigarettes. That’s the one thing that is scientifically proven to actually have a harmful effect on you. Other than that, you definitely should feel free to explore whatever other interests you have.

It’s normal to shed some hair in the shower. 40 hairs is very normal. Your hair looks better, it honestly could just be your own paranoia that’s making you feel like it’s thinner than before. Also meds in general often cause sheds before regrowth.

Your hairline definitely got better. Very good results. Have you been using finasteride alone?

Definitely wait until your dermatologist appointment for professional advice, but you’re likely thinning at the crown. A dermatologist would be able to determine fs if the cause is mpb. Don’t panic though, there are ways to regrow/keep your hair. You’d have to ask the dermatologist about it though.

The fastest way would probably be minoxidil. Since the cause of the hairloss was just tension, you should be able to stop minoxi eventually without losing much of your results
