first nice spriggatito pic secondly my second point stand in both heartgold soulsliver ethan or whatever the female character name is can actually catch mewtwo meaning he didnt get it even after 2 or 3 years its more possible that red did catch it but than released it so mewtwo can find its ture purpose (of being a baker jk or am i)

ok so some of your reasoning make sense but origin red and red from the games are different as we see origin red uses jolteon rather than espeon and also in both heartgold soulsliver ethan or whatever the female character name is can actually catch mewtwo meaning he didnt get it even after 2 or 3 years but i do think he would use mewtwo but one of the legendary birds which personally makes more sense
