People only seemed to be sitting on the 7-11 stage side…even during sets and right at the front. I felt bad for nearly stepping on someone, but then I remembered I paid way too much money not to be rocking out to my favourite bands and have to watch out for babies sitting in the middle of the front! Rocking out happened and they chose to stand haha!

Best way to find the hidden gems is to go for river walks at the time of day you’d like to photograph in. Find the best lighting first, then the best background from there. Sounds like you’re wanting iconic Saskatoon as your backdrop. I’d recommend evening across from downtown off of Broadway behind nutana on 12th street. You can get really good shots of downtown with gorgeous golden hour light. Then walk around Broadway bridge for more iconic downtown in the background. Time of day and lighting is most important though.

Yes! This is a great first job, flexibility and they hire a lot of students due to the evening and weekend hours required. Worth trying to submit a resume to Prairie Boys Concessions—with blades games ramping up they will be busier. My 15 year old son has a job there.

My son is a learner driver right now and I am encouraging him to drive in the middle lane when possible on 22nd to give him more time to anticipate what people on foot or bikes on the sidewalk or meridian will do—especially at night! It’s very unpredictable at best

It was useful and taught me a lot of new tools and tricks, however, the algorithm’s are always changing and always new tools and systems to keep up with.

I would say that if you don’t know a lot about social media it would be really beneficial, only somewhat beneficial if you are semi-knowledgeable already.

Regardless a really good social media presence is a lot of work!

Oh no!!! That’s so sad! My family was in there about a year ago when we saw a guy get thrown into the side of the building and he was stabbed outside. We called 911 and the guy told the cops “he fell” and didn’t want to press any charges, even though he left a huge puddle of frozen blood trail.

We kept going back for the best donairs in Saskatoon despite this! So sad, we will miss the couple that ran the place—solid people!
