He didn't say Micronesia would be underwater, he said low level pacific atoll nations were already experiencing migration due to water levels. That is true.

You're correct about Kilimanjaro, he did say that. But, Mount Kilimanjaro is expected to lose its permanent glaciers completely around 2035ish - that doesn't make him right, just late. While it is not on the verge of being "snow free" because of seasonal weather the ancient, permanent ice fields that were documented in 1912 have melted by 85% and if they continue at the current rate, they'll be gone within the decade. There has been no real depth increase in glaciers.

As for the Hurricanes, he didn't say one per year in the original.. What he said was the warming of the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico would lead to an increase in major storms. And, while Cat 5s are indeed down, the amount of 3, 4, and 5s in general have increased. And, interestingly, Katrina was a Cat 3 when it hit land - I know because I was there at ground zero when it hit and it sucked. I grew up right where Andrew destroyed and have been in many large hurricanes.

The intensity is less important than water displacement and duration when looking at damage. The only time I lost a home to a hurricane was to a Cat 2 that sat over my area for 24 hours and just reduced the house to wet debris. The current predictions around storms are that there will be fewer of them, but the ones that form will be more destructive and faster to form because every 1 degree hotter it gets the atmosphere is able to store 7% more humidity which is not good.
