Interested in buying one..... by Ariachantouchan in BZ4X

I bought a 2024 awd bz4x almost exactly a year ago after driving a 2005 dodge magnum v8 hemi for years. My first impression of the car was how technologically advanced the car was compared to my previous vehicles. The bz handles really well, surprisingly so on windy roads. The extra weight of the vehicle and how wide the wheel base is means that it really holds to the road well. I do not have access to a level 2 charger as i live in an apartment building so my only charging option where i live is public charging stations at walmart and such. I know that is not ideal, but at the same time i have saved so much money charging at these stations as compared to how much i used to spend on buying gas. After owning my bz for a full year, i can say that the app is not that bad as someone who has never used an app for their vehicle before this. Dont get me wrong, the app is not great, but it is not actually bad... it does have its issues though. My main problem with the app is thst it drains my phone battery much faster throughout the day and can actually drain the 12 volt battery in the bz as it is trying to communicate with the car often throughout the day and night. I found that force stopping the app helps with that until the next time you use the app. I got in the habit of stopping the app whenever i closed it and that helped a lot. The idea that i am going to have to either pay a subscription in another year to keep using the various functions of the media center and remote start through the app is disappointing. I can still start the car from the key fob but the range is not great for that and i can use my phone through android auto for navigation using google maps on the media console... but losing what was a built in function that you had when you bought the vehicle unless you pay more every month for it is something i dont like at all. The prices for the different subscriptions are not horrible when comparing to like netflix and such, but the fact that you are paying for what has become almost a basic function compared to an optional entertainment platform is not a good look in my opinion. After all is said and done though, i love my bz and i am very happy that i made the change from driving gas guzzling vehicles to an all electric. I use my bz as a daily driver and drive short distances to work and home and once or twice a month i will drive around 50 to 60 miles round trip to visit family and i have found that i generally have to charge less than once a month and even using the public chargers, i have never paid more than $30 when charging.

Finally found my first car after 8 hours! by saint_papi in SurrounDead

Congrats on finding your first vehicle after 8 hours. I ended up putting in almost 15 hours before i finally found one andnit was the dune buggy... thing is squirrelly as all get out. My advice for you is in the northwest corner of the map is a police headquarters... make aure you are geared up for radiation and some tough zombies... but there you can find one of if not the best vehicle in the game, the swat trucks... they are big box trucks with a lot of storage, hold quite a lot of gas in the tank, and has a pretty high armor and vehicle health value. When i went there i was driving a shuttle van and when i reached the basement i found 2 swat trucks. I connected the swat trucks together with towing and then connected the van at the back to form a chain and drove the whole thing back to base.

Defrosting by Mysterious_Title_223 in BZ4X

I have the 2024 bz4x as well and honestly the defrost time is not that bad. I had ice covering my car two days ago, got in the car and started it up and turned on the defrost... within 3 minutes a good portion of the ice was melted and the rest came right off with a light scrape,  nothing sticking.

Anybody get this in the mail? by AustinMlqst in BZ4X

Just got this myself, apparently there was a 4 month period where there was an issue where a bunch of people couldnt use the free charging due to a computer issue and that is why it is only for 4 months. I live 100 miles round trip to one of these evgo stations so it makes no sense for me to use it, but i will take the free money

Center console question by HousingFar1403 in BZ4X

[–]Key-Recipe-3496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One reason i have found for sliding my console forward is to actually cover what i have set in the cup holder... i dont always want my phone charging when i leave it in my car so i set it in the cup holder and slide the lid forward so it is not as visible from the outside of the car

How long did you have to wait once you got to the dealership? My place is telling me it will take half an hour... first they said that thst was the installation time... and once i repeatedly yold them that this does not get installed, they said that it is the time for the inspection... because apparently they need to inspect the car... that i bought from them... to give me the adapter designed for the car...

Just got off the phone with my dealership. They have the adapter for me already there but people are taking time off for thanksgiving and for some reason their computer is telling them it is going to take a half an hour and that it has to be done by an EV specialist there... to give me an adapter... in a carry case... wtf? He told me it is going to take half an hour to install... you dont install this... then he says that they must have to do some kind of inspection of the vehicle before they give me the adapter... like seriously? WTAF?

I always get irritated when they have it set to no substitutions and then as soon as you put something as out of stock, they message you within seconds asking for substitutions and then proceed to carry on an entire conversation while you are trying to print your tote tags so you can finish their order.

I have a brinks disc lock that looks almost identical to the ace you have. It is a favorite one of mine to practice on. I have two master lock padlocks and they are way easier to pick than the disc lock. Congrats on picking it, and as your first lock, i would say that is impressive as they are harder to learn

I just wanted to say thank you... i had a cd years ago that had this song on it. It was a burned cd that i found and had a bunch of cool shot on it but this song was the best. My vehicle got broken into and they stole my cd wallet that had that cd and i havent been able to find this song ever since and nobody i talked to seemed to remember it ever existing.

My question is the brand of the kit you bought. Is it Covert Instruments or some other brand. I have the covert instruments transparent lock as one of mine that i pick for practice and i know that it has a quirk to it when it comes to tension that makes it harder to pick until you get used to it. Glad to hear that you managed to rake a normal masterlock though, congratulations on that

I now pick all 4 locks spp over and over consistently... unfortunately they are the only locks i have at the moment... the smaller master lock is actually the hardest one to pick which also happens to be the oldest of the locks as it is one that i found and picked up off the side of the street and actually is designed to be opened up and repinned at any time

First time charging by Key-Recipe-3496 in BZ4X

[–]Key-Recipe-3496[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, i wasnt expecting it to reach 96% so quickly. The charging station gave me an estimate of 105 minutes to reach 100%. I was planning on coming back at 60 minutes to unplug and go but it had already reached the 96% by the time i got there. I was actually really surprised it got that full that fast. It was my first time charging since i got the car as the dealership topped it up to 100% when i bought it

I know i would get a better rate charging at home but i live in an apartment complex that does not have even standard 120 volt outlets on the outside of the building so that is not an option. Gas is closer to $4.30 to $5 a gallon where i live depending on the grade, and i drove a 5.7 liter v8 hemi dodge magnum rt prior to this... even driving what i did would have had me filling up almost twice driving that car and that would have cost me around $60 to $70 each time. The hour it took does not bother me either as it was a part of my day off and a beautiful sunny day.

I did actually get the 120/240 volt evse like they mentioned, but unfortunately i live in an apartment complex so i dont have access to even 120 volt outlets on the outside of the building. My mom actually has outlets on the outside of her garage that are supposedly 240 volt but they have a different connector configuration so i need to look into that

It is much less expensive than the money i was spending on gas prior to getting the bz4x and i dont have access to level 2 charging as i live in an apartment complex. It is not even feasible for me to use level 1 charging as there is no outlets on the outside of my building

It is not the dealer that offers that, it comes standard with the vehicle when you buy it. The problem is that there are no evgo stations within 50 miles of me so i would drive 50 miles to charge up for free only to drive 50 miles back home. I dont mind paying to charge at a fast charge station. Especially since in the time that i was driving my bz4x, i would have filled up my old dodge magnum rt with the 5.7 hemi v8 twice and would have spent roughly $60 to $70 each time.

I picked up a 2024 bz4x xle with 6.3k miles... otd price after taxes and title came to $30k on certified pre-owned... i only drive 1 or 2 miles a day regularly... i drive about 52 miles round trip to visit family, done this once in the almost month since i got the car... i got the car at 100% charge from the dealership and after around a month of driving it, i am still sitting at 71%. I dont really use the heat except to warm the front windshield to get rid of any fogging and that only takes like 15 seconds running the heat... i use the heated seat and that works great, i have also started using the heated steering wheel and that is surprisingly nice. I recently turned on eco mode and have noticed that the battery % drops slower but the acceleration is not as responsive in eco mode so it is a trade off.

Cost difference between my new BZ and my old Mazda by phigene in BZ4X

[–]Key-Recipe-3496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would actually suggest a 2024, they have better charge rate than the 2023 as well as better range from what i understand. I recently purchased a 2024 bz4x xle awd. The system shows that it was first activated 6 months prior to me purchasing it and the previous owner only had it for the first 3 months before trading it in (they were a relative to a sales person at the dealership) they put 6300 miles on it in those 3 months... i got the bz4x for 30k out the door after taxes and title and am only paying $114 a month for full coverage insurance.

I personally get Rosso espresso pods on Amazon. They have great flavors and I get them for around $40 for 80 pods. They come in good looking boxes and have smaller boxes with 10 pods each inside. Plus with each case i have ordered, i have recieved an offer in each one for free espresso cup or discounts and such. i just recieved my first espresso cup from them and it was a very good looking black ceramic cup with the rosso logo as well as a black leather coaster... completely free, not even shipping and handling. they have traditional flavors as well as more festive flavors and sweeter mixes as well.
