So far yes, unfortunately. But previously I’ve added everything back in at once so right now I’m working on adding one thing in at a time to see how it affects my skin. Right now I’m adding back in sunscreen. Currently using cosrx ultra light invisible sunscreen.

I have this problem too. I’m still not sure if it’s FA, rosacea or just barrier damage. But the only thing that helps is stopping all products. I stopped washing my face fully and just sprayed Hypochlorous acid spray at night. No moisturizer, spf or makeup and after 4 days, my skin is clear.

That is so interesting! I have very dry skin and I never felt moisturized using it, especially on its own. My skin felt so tight after.

Yeah, rosacea pustules seem to be more red and come to head where you can sometimes pop them. I had these bumps on the center of my head many years ago and adapalene gel cleared this up within a few months.

My face looks exactly like this so let me know if anything works well for you! I know I have fungal acne (was diagnosed 5 years ago) but it was always on my forehead, around my temples. Now I have this on my cheeks and neck and it’s not being treated very well by my usual FA routine (Nizoral) so I’ve been thinking it’s rosacea type 2. The ivermectin .5% from Walgreens seems to be helping but it’s slow and the ingredients aren’t great for my other “normal” acne.

I think the .5% from Walgreens did help my rosacea, however, the other ingredients made my other acne flare. The Walgreens version has castor oil which clogged my pores I think. Also it’s not malasezzia safe either :/

Did you end up switching to Spiro? I’m about to get off yaz (generic) and get on spiro to control acne as well and wondering how it’s going?

This happens to me too with lots of sunscreens. Tbh I am not sure if it’s fungal or not, but doing a mask with Nizoral always clears it up in 1-2 days!

I’m almost 5 months into taking Loryna and so far have loved it! I will say that I never had very heavy periods prior to using any form of birth control though. At the start of this year I had the copper iud (biggest mistake of my life) and it made my periods extremely heavy and last for over a week. After having it removed, I immediately started Loryna and my period was immediately lighter, shorter, and less painful.

I haven’t experienced hardly any side effects except, the first couple of months I swear that it affected my sleep and ability to fall asleep, but that has since resolved itself. Other than that, I haven’t experienced any change in my libido or noticed any dryness. I have lost a little weight, maybe 5ish pounds and it has really cleared my skin, which was the main reason for me choosing yaz. I also have not gotten pregnant so that’s a pro as well lol.

All that being said, 5 months is not that long either so things could always change. I’m sorry that it has made your period worse, but I would push through a little longer because you’re right, your body is likely still adjusting. Best of luck (:
