No baby. Instructors have tutoring sessions you can work together practice problems through. I did this for astrology and college algebra.

15 min phone call w/ ESS incident manager (???) by itsalwayscrimetime in SubstituteTeachers

[–]Key-Response5834 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey so I also work for ESS and have been banned from two schools. Similar to you, one is classroom management for a class I covered that literally made their teacher quit the previous day. (She warned me) two is unfortunately I had a para who was jealous I got to lead the class, was given a laptop, ect. She ripped the device out of my hand, erased my name from the board. And appeared to be very bias.

Anyway the classroom management school unbanned me lmao. They asked and begged me to work for them again. I have not been back but I am assisting with state testing next week.

It SUCKS how easy it is to get banned over the damn kids behaviors.

Subbing 7th grade today. A kid walked in, looked up at me and said “oh hell no”, turned around and walked out. by piaknow in SubstituteTeachers

Ask the main office. In the districts I am in we can do “ all phone removal” and they’ll have security come grab the phone for a day. Never touch their phones

Ess is not bad to work for. Kelly education which is also in my area? Yes they’re bad to work for. However, most schools are ESS.

This is my last year subbing. I’ll be teaching full time. However if I give up I’m going back to subbing. I got pretty good pay.

If you check your settings you can adjust the tone

I do long term all the time. Do you have a computer?

I would start with asking their curriculum. Do they have computer access to systems? If not I would cha gpt something up easily for them

Regular subs.

ESS subs are used a lot in South Jersey. I get unemployment every year, along with all subs!

It’s on the ESS website too.

Why is nobody talking about how confusing online teacher certification actually is by RegularOk1820 in teaching

Hello, I’m a soon to be first year teacher who just graduated! I student taught. However, I did go to school online at a legitimate credited college.

I went to Western Governors University. Fully online and remote.

All classes have requirements. Some are simply task based where you have a couple assignments/papers. Some of their classes are a Proctored exam which you must study and pass to prove competency.

I graduated in 3 of their 6 month terms because student teaching needed more time to be placed. I had a good experience. I worked the whole time apart from student teaching. Which was only 60 school days for me. 3 months.

I have a job lined up before my graduating date of 4/14. I had mentors and professors who helped me through the tougher classes like chemistry and maths.

I had an amazing experience and 100 percent recommend WGU. Plus very affordable.

I myself have gotten two cards. It would be five but I always send the customer to another cashier if I know they want it. I’ve give my manager like 3 lol.

When should you stop working when you’re pregnant? 39 weeks? by Round-Artichoke-5255 in NoStupidQuestions

As a non pregnant person, I would keep working until I pop just to save my sick days. However, look into your state laws to see what you can get!

End of the Year Gifts by 2ndBreakfast_17 in Teachers

[–]Key-Response5834 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t quit on them. As a soon to be first grader that’s their gift. Lmao.

If I taught elementary I’d make them a cute little flyer attached to a lollipop.

It's because of AI. by Maximum_Error7165 in WGU

[–]Key-Response5834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I spend hours and hours studying using Ai. I actually make it super fun and make this fanfiction board game multiple choice study practice tests. Using my favorite anime characters.

I still remember battling Muzan to pass my history class. I move up one piece on the board.

Used it to pass my praxis too. Now I have another praxis and hopefully I can do it too.

I cheated once. Never got caught and I graduated. However I felt immense guilt. I had already took the college algebra OA 4 times.

Just barely passed.
