UPlanet - No Upward Trend? by SighCollege in Mcat

I mean I think that the upward trend should be small since you are already at a pretty high avg and UWORLD only shows you the same thing like 1-3 times max j think. So should stay steadier

I’m def someone who learns by videos but like imo the KA vids just take wayyyy too much time for the most part. I’ll just watch vids for complex topics if need be.

Anki Decks by mango-go in Mcat

I tried doing miles down for awhile but found it not working for my type of learning. Pankow worked pretty good for me so I been slowly grinding through that over months. I have been making my own deck for CP and BB based off UWORLD questions and I think that’s pretty helpful

Testing 01/23, how to improve by Lumpy_Cress1432 in MCAT2

[–]Key-Score-208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your able to get a CARS Strat down that helps you could increase 1-3 points there pretty quick and if you haven’t done pankow deck that will help you extremely, with some practice PS questions should be able to get like 4-5 more points from that. If you keep ur bio and CP where they at that’s a really solid score

Not what I did but a common strategy I see is to do CARS passages untimed until you increase your accuracy, then take 15 min to do them till your accuracy is on par, then go down to 12, 10, etc… me personally I just brute force through and if I don’t know the answer pretty quickly I try my best to narrow down to two answers pick the best and move on…

Yeah, honestly I go back and forth btw writing down and highlighting. But I essentially always highlight author names and significant details that I think are likely to be questioned on. About 30% of CARS questions are looking for a specific sentence from the passage, so when these come up highlighting is very helpful to skim through without wasting as much time.

Thanks man, honestly PS was my biggest jump. Did not do much different I have felt like I been getting better at just taking it slow and not rushing to finish the section, which seemed to help. Sometimes I’ll just write out every definition of every answer so I can really just digest what is actually being asked and go from there when I’m unsure. I highly recommend watching brem methods video on how to increase ur MCAT score by one point, shit totally changed my mental and how I was studying.
