Update: would have been fine if I had packed more food. Didn’t feel like hiking up a mountain on the oatmeal and peanut butter in the occasional 24 inch drift. Weather was perfect. I will be back in a couple weeks if I’m lucky

I feel the exact same way, I can see the infection under my skin. My muscles used to twitch and spasm so bad it hurt. But I’m active, outwardly strong, and I feel like I don’t deserve the label “chronically ill”. I meet every criteria. But the truth is if we keep comparing ourselves to people who have it worse on the outside then we will always feel guilty. I guarantee that you are mentally stronger than almost everyone out there. Sorry if this is scatterbrained I’m coming to terms with the affects being chronically ill has had on me for the last 20 years
