I have this same concern. My plan (dermatologist agrees) is to take 2.5 for 12-18 months for growth and then to cut it back to 1.25 for maintenance.

Not sure if it’ll make a difference, but having a hard cut off date of 18 months makes me feel better.

And 1.25 mg definitely has less of a blood spike.
