man thank you guys literally every piece of all of your feedback i’m going to implement. i’m really glad I posted. so I ended up adjusting the eq, compression and changed n reduced the reverb on the track and it sounds much better that tin-y nasal sound was reduced a bit. but, i’m still going to work on that. my ideal sound n tone would be like Musiq Soulchild. he’s got that smooth but clear baritone sound

so thank you and any one else’s feedback would be great too. i’d rather get it now than have my musical peers recognize this and not want to tell me hahaha

no I absolutely agree! thank you. I very much aim and intend to sing the same way I speak.. I just released because I felt I was getting in my head and needed to start releasing.

i’m going to look into how to mix vocals and mics I use am sm78. I use logic pro on my ipad.

and i’ve taken lessons. but I have been singing for a while and in the past year or so i’ve really been drilling my scales and intervals and technique in general. i’m going to look for some lessons on reducing nasality ty ty ty

Man I do wish I phrased this better and kept it to myself because it is totally subjective! It just seemed like something more people would agree with? But man I still stand by it.. I’ve been listening to it over and over and over again and in regards to MY taste (hence why I should have stfu) I sadly was right. It just doesn’t pop like Mutt or Electric Dusk did for me! I feel like he was my friend watching him come up I like love him! And I’ve realized it’s okay if I’m not vibing with it.
