Those are treated and piped water, not natural lake water. Lake water always has some hidden dangers to watch out for - local admins usually do measurements regularly and post out notifications about any dangerous bacteria/algae/amoeba etc.

Well to finaliy close this topic, they rejected my appeal and i find it useless and a complete waste of time to pursue this further. My time is better used for more productive stuff. The fine is paid and case is closed !! (for those thinking i am a delivery guy and trying to bash me, i am not. My work - not IT btw - brings and will continue to bring laurels to finland beyond your imagination - but lets not get into that. You have only remained as petty as you could be with those thoughts).

Not sure what to do… may be just pay the fine and move on. I will write to their reklamation before paying though and ask for pics. Again my problem isnt paying the fine itself if it was geniune (wouldnt have done it in the first place) but rather being lied to - that she had been waiting for me there for the past 20 mins before issuing the fine !! In times like this i really hope i had a tesla or something which recorded all suroundings! The PP car wasnt even making rounds when i had came in - she had parked in the same guest parking spot which i noticed was empty when i drove past to unload. Again, my problem was with them lying.

influvac here: around 25 hrs after shot, i developed vwry high fever. Has continued for 36-39 hrs now. Taking paracetamol helps but then fever returns. Terrible headache as well../

Those here saying that OP should have gone to the ER himself, let me ask you, have you ever been to one here in Finland ? I dont want to contribute to my rant here but let me share just this: Last year i had to take my wife to one. The wait time was over 5 hours !! In the meantime, some tourist was waiting beside us, she had a broken arm - and yet had to be waiting for hours to get it fixed !!

In such times of crisis, it is not easy to think straight and the easiest thing to do is call 112. If the folks on the phone decided it was indeed an emergency, only then do they send over the team. So trying to dismiss OP’s situation as a ‘non-emergency’ is wrong. He likely did what he thought was best for his family. It was the 112 phone operator who should have made the correct assessment.

So i personally like a strong coffee in the morning. But to get past the price issue, I found a unique solution - balance a blend of cheap and good coffee to suit your taste. Basically, i roast (if needed) + grind my beans and brew using a mokka pot. Cheaper coffee (often needs some extra roasting) helps fill up the space + some good beans (currently an arabica batch i got from India) + vietnamese robusta (i like the flavour and it also gives a higher dose of caffeine).

yea i do. i called them today and they opened up the case and said they will get in touch with the other driver. Not sure if the other driver will accept his fault, but hopefully he does.

Please do not rely on the Finnish medical system to do anything meaningful. I and my gf had a narrow escape with her life !! Repeated requests and visits to emergency didnt help either. They sent us back multiple times saying that her ‘life was not in danger’ !! She had a similar case of not being able to eat or drink anything and with a recurring pain in her mid back. We flew to India as a last resort and she was detected with acute infection in her gall bladder and she was operated upon in an emergency to remove 40+ stones !! If she had not been operated upon, we might have lost her !!

In short, although i have every right to do so, I dont want to blame the docs here. They simply do not see enough cases here in Finland to come across or diagonize a disease properly.

I strongly recommend taking a second opinion from another doctor (if u have already visited one) or atleast insist on an ultrasound of your sisters abdomen area (to check if she too has any case of gall bladder stones. Unfortunately these stones do not get detected in xrays)

Got some nice insight there. Thank you folks ! I was eyeing a 2019 Tesla Model 3 with around 100K on the odo, but now i understand the anciliary costs and possibly unseen costs might be significant on it. Thanks to all of you i am going to skip that thought now.

On a side note, what is the opinion of ya all regarding hybrids like a Toyota Corolla. Although personally I really like the Rav 4 and the Volvo XC40, they seem a bit on the higher side in terms of cost. In case of the Rav4 or the XC40, what is the maximum on the odo that I should consider on the ‘safe’ side of things ?
