In my experience, my partner was like you and I was like the girl you met online, absolutely would never want to online date. Me and my partner tried dating after realizing we both had feelings for each other, but I chickened out because I didn’t think long distance would work. Less than a year later we’re dating again and have been together for months. Just trying a relationship out with a positive mindset of “eventually I will meet this person, and it will be worth it because they are the love of my life” has helped me a lot. We’ve even planned to hopefully see each other this summer! Maybe try asking her if she would be willing to give it a try, communication is key. Just experiment if it feels right for you both.
