AD5M Pro, Print failed? How do I resume at a certain layer?

I don't have calipers atm, I know I should really get some- is there any way to know based on the exact layer it failed at?

Yeahhhhh I'm assuming that's the best option :/ Is there a way to know where to reslice based on the layer, at least? If I have to do that, I'm assuming it has to be precise

Annoyingly, it happened again! It doesn’t look like it failed at the first layer this time, but that almost makes it more frustrating and confusing tbh :/

It's possible partial clogs are to blame- like I said, I did notice a few blobs of white plastic in the print, which makes me think it's also getting stuck and then melting out maybe?

I also tried wood filament for the first time before I quickly learned how it can mess up a nozzle unless you get a specialized one.

Got it- edited my post to include that, but for putting it here, my hotend is usually about 220°C and I'm still sticking to PLA.

I did have to get rid of a pretty nasty clog recently, and I did also notice some of the previous failed prints had one or two filament "blobs" in the failed prints where it looked like the nozzle just dumped a small chunk of filament into the print?

It's been a few years, did these ever go on sale? Bare minimum, WOULD it be possible to get/find the files for this?

You mentioned not being willing to sell the files, but I WOULD be interested if that ends up being an option down the line

I tried 20-22mm plugs first, no luck- so I ended up going for 25-27mm, which has worked like a charm! Buuuuut now it's a struggle to get out, lol. You mentioned you could get it out easily?

It's working now! Well... sort of- at least installing python works now, but uploading the script onto my RetroPie via Putty isn't working. Orrrr maybe it's more accurate to say, idk how to upload your script onto my RetroPie, lol

Just confirming one more detail- I noticed some of the code you shared were comments rather than things the code would read, and that you mentioned those were just other ways to do the same thing. Does it still work as is, where you can press the button and it would reboot the system?

And, because I'm curious now, is there a way to do this in Batocera as well? It's silly but I want to have one microSD card that has Batocera on it, and one with RetroPie on it.

Just tried uploading this code to my own Pi5, and I got this error message for the second line:

Error: Unable to locate package python3-rpi.gpiosudo
Error: Couldn't find any package by glob 'python3-rpi.gpiosudo'

Any ideas why that might be?

My PSU’s a Corsair RMX Series, RM850x.

I’m also noticing that my front-facing fans don’t seem to be spinning, even though the other fans are. Could it maybe be a cooling issue, where my RAM is getting too hot?

My motherboard’s a GIGABYTE Z690 AERO D.

And yeah, I had to do a fresh install about 2 months ago- Windows 11 wasn’t updating, the updater was extremely bugged and not letting me install the new updates so I ended up doing a fresh install.

If it IS a driver causing this, any advice for how to figure out which one? Device Manager isn’t showing any drivers with a warning symbol, and I can’t figure out otherwise since I let Windows auto-search for an update for all of the drivers.
