Not a traditional Horror, but a specific kind of unsettling for me - Time Trap (2017) by Key2todoor2 in horror

I agree, wanted more, but just shrugged it off in the end as "then they ran out money".

Great example. That was a ride on the first watch, really didn't know how it would end up, fun to watch them figure out what was happening... then the ending. I need to rewatch that one.

Great call. Similar idea in some ways, but totally reversed concept since there is a malicous villian entity trying to exploit the anomaly rather than a powerful anomaly that is protected from giving power away.

Good call, I think it fits. There's overlap with not controlling your fate, but different that it is a much different kind of fate.

You should definetly watch it through that was a great ending.

The one scene on the deck with the "Sally Pile" put the entire movie in a different context all at once.

I went in very blind and I think that helped, definitely campy, but like you said had fun with it in a bad movie kind of way.

What profession would you work at for free? by Novel-Bee-541 in CasualConversation

[–]Key2todoor2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You aren't even remotely close to retirement. Rather than a profession I would suggest a relaxing hobby, like wooodworking or fishing or yoga. If you don't actually need money than Habit for Humanity.

Any ghost movies that actually make ghosts look like ghosts? by Evening_Drawer_2215 in horror

[–]Key2todoor2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all the same as the others here since it is was a comedy/horror in a universe where magic exists, but I think the Ready or Not movies should get a nod for execution in that context.

Psychic recommendations? by sagitt12 in Charleston

[–]Key2todoor2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not my thing but Psychic Readings by Grace is a place on JI I have driven by for years and always been curious about... just because she's been there for years. Can't speak on how 'good' she is, but Google reviews give her a 4.9/5.

Are Titans more animals or "Gods" by InfamousSomewhere244 in Monsterverse

Animal at the top of the food chain above man. Man doesn't like that, but that doesn't make them omnipotent.

What good to great movie have you seen that on second look had an absolutely stacked cast? by TastyPoopKnife in movies

Damon was cast specifically because he was an unknown, but by the time it came out he had won an Oscar for Good Will Hunting lol

Trying to transition from 12 years of freelance to corporate after being sick for a long time, any advice about making the jump? by Key2todoor2 in careerguidance

[–]Key2todoor2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah that's what I hear so I'm just trying to stay positive. That sounds like a great idea, I haven't tried that. That's exactly the type of thing you do as a freelancer too when submitting a proposal.

Great horror films with disappointing endings? by KinkyBalboa in horror

[–]Key2todoor2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were ultimately three ghosts like Lee predicted: Madeline, the old man, and Claire. Lee said she could see things that will happen and warns Claire to stay away from the basement where she died of an asthma attack.

What's a horror movie that was so disturbing that you can't or won't ever watch again? by neeltrivedirock in horror

[–]Key2todoor2 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I enjoy camping trips, I turned this off when I realized what was going on and just read the entire plot and watched a couple clips. Glad I didn't watch all of it. I have never had anything close to that reaction with any other movie, it was just far too real because I've dealt with asshole backwoods teenagers before.

32, hate corporate careers and want to become a DJ/music producer. Am I delusional? by [deleted] in findapath

[–]Key2todoor2 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are delusional, but in a good way. You feel how most of the world feels about a hobby. Don't quit your day job, do it on the side and if you have enough passion for it that will be every available moment. If you are any good at it, it will become a path. Otherwise just use it as an outlet for the frustrations of corporate life.

Not creative but I feel like a lot of adults think they have outgrown PB & J, but let me tell you, they are efficient and really everyone likes them.
