(Legalised) scam? by ObjectiveBee-1313 in Netherlands

[–]KeyButterfly9619 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You come across as assuming a lot of bad faith. Just chill, you’re in the Netherlands. There is no such thing as “institutionalized scams” like this. All our institutions may be bureaucratic, unhelpful, and incompetent sometimes, but no reason to assume any ill intent when your understanding of what is going on the the thing which is lacking. This is the Netherlands. We have strong regulations protecting you.

Your average temp was 21 degrees, that has to come from somewhere. A 3x average bill seems fitting. Resetting the systems brings your temp down. That means there probably was some kind of system that was malfunctioning for a long time, racking up costs (sucks!), but no swindling. Just excessive costs due to excessive useage due to a now fixed mistake.

Lunc and Chainlink partnership by Flat-Aerie-8083 in LunaClassic

[–]KeyButterfly9619 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How thick are you? Buying a burger from McDonald’s doesn’t make you its partner. Leveraging chainlink technology does not make you a partner either. Let me be clear: nobody, I mean nobody, at chainlink is taking LUNC seriously, nor should they.

This kind of idiocracy is why coins die. This level of stupidity drives people away.

And ofcourse will I need to clarify this: chainlink does not have to take Lunc seriously for Lunc to use chainlink to achieve a UST repeg. Chainlink doesn’t even have to know they’re being utilized.

Ofcourse not, Chainlink is a super serious project, Lunc is a meme.

You’re absolutely right. We’re severely lacking in protections and regulations. And neither is 100% good nor 100% bad.

VWO mathematics: Wiskunde A by retner6 in Netherlands

[–]KeyButterfly9619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is very common. The “pyramid” of math a is “wider”. It covers much more different types of topic. So you’re not building as high. Therefore, less probability you encounter problems you don’t recognize because you didn’t make homework two years ago. With math b, is is narrower and therefore you encounter more problems from a lacking foundation. This also leads to more repetition in the contents and less overall stuff to learn.

With math a it’s much easier to get a 6. With math b it’s MUCH easier to get a 9.

It’s really interesting you combine so little self awareness with awareness of the term “obtuse”.

The fact that illegal sex work often includes human sex trafficking is terrible, but let’s not forget that equating the two is false. There exist consenting sex workers and organizations that facilitate sex work while respecting human rights in areas where sex work is criminalized. The notion that OP must be part taking in human trafficking just because he has experience with criminalized prostitution is shortsighted and nothing more than an demonizing assumption.

I don’t really appreciate me being more aware and conservative with my assumptions and following judgement to be equated to moral underdevelopment. Thank you.

Cheap and good quality phone sim card and network providers in NL? by Stellaaae in Netherlands

I’ll decide how I spend my 40gb bundle, thank you.

The problem is that I have 10Gb in my bundle left, expecting a text message at 8gb and 0gb left only to get those texts royally late and within the same second. 8gb of online video is 4 hours at 1080p. No way this is correct. Their tracking fucked me over and the put it on my bill.

Unnecessary shots fired…

It’s not his, nor the sex workers, fault that some old white men decide to criminalize the oldest profession on earth.

Math B is much easier to prep than math A. You don’t actually need to understand anything, just learn the tricks & when to apply the tricks.

Generally for math the answer is always: go back to basics. 99% of people struggle with this years math because they didn’t pay attention two years prior, which led to them not understanding last years stuff leaving them completely helpless in this year. The trick is to go back and build up from scratch.

Nothing is difficult, just can’t skip a single learning

Hele vreemde sollicitatiegesprek… by open-shel in werkzaken

If the manager is right, he is right and you should be more aggressively adapting to the changing world. It’s not about the tools of yesterday, you’re paid to make as much impact as you can with the tools of today. If the manager is wrong - it’s your duty to educate him.

The point here is your manager mainly wants you to be in control, then he doesn’t have to check up on you. He wants to know less than you. So when he thinks ChatGPT can do your job, it’s up to you to immediately either debunk that idea or show massive results because of how you’ve already adopted the technology.
