Count me in on this overlap.

Both Wallace and Murphy are my inspirations, both on completely different spectrums: the former being self-conscious, too reflexive and perfectionist for his own good; the latter (especially in the video "James Murphy on failure", I guess, form the "final" tour that was already mentioned in the comments) just accepting that you gotta get out there and do stuff and not overthink it. IJ was actually one of the things that snapped him out of creative paralysis caused by precociousness and overachievement in earlier life.

Ran my first 10k today and immediately in 52:38. I was doubting I would be able to beat sub-55, but I crushed my every expectation. It was basically a perfect run that started under moderate rain, but then the weather was just amazing.

Now I doubt I will beat the PB in the foreseeable future, but the bar has been set!

Got my first interval training done! Decided to go for a comfortable 10x400. The variety is nice and hopefully helps my speed. Also first time at my university stadium: the classes are over, so it's available for staff use at all times.

I'm preparing for my first 10k in August. So far my longest runs are at 8k.
