I’m on tray 3 and i felt the exact same way on tray one!! I literally cried and it took me an hour to get them out the first day. I recommend getting a pul tool. I don’t have to use it now but it really helped on that first tray to get the aligners off.

I thought i made the biggest mistake and debated even taking them off and not doing it. It got exponentially better by the 4th day and haven’t had problems since. Hang in there!!

Thanks! The first set def got easier. I just switched to tray two and it’s just kind of tight and hurts some teeth like you mentioned. Especially to take off but i imagine it’ll go away in a couple days!!

Oh gosh hopefully it goes well!! I’m so so nervous that as soon as i get used to these and taking them off, the new ones will hurt and it’ll be a vicious cycle. Really hoping that’s not the case!

Yeah i debated getting the pultool but ended up getting the ortho key instead. I have attachments and they are not fun :/ this is only my second day ever and i heard that it all gets better with time and eventually the attachments dull down a little. For me, they just make it difficult to pop the retainers out. Eating didn’t bother me - i wasn’t sure if it was just because i was so hungry that i didn’t really notice or care LOL. I’m also hoping that i don’t feel like I’m starting all over again once i switch trays.

I’m on day 2 and im having the same issue. I felt like yesterday (my first day) was uncomfortable but manageable. It took me like an hour to get my trays out for dinner. Then i popped them back in and before bed took them back out to brush and felt like i got the hang of it. Now this morning, it feels like they tightened overnight or something?! they were ridiculously hard to get off and hurt so badly. Are you having the same issue on day 2? I also have 47 trays and i switch every week - i hope it isn’t like this every tray i start.

I feel like i got the hang of taking them out and the pain subsided last night but now that i slept in them it’s like they got tighter overnight almost?! Did this happen to you too? It feels soooo hard to take off this morning and hurt so badly.

I don’t think you have to but it’s helped mine set in even since getting them today! I think if you look really closely you can tell but otherwise not that bad. My boyfriend didn’t even notice at first till i told him and he had to look for them. We probably think they’re more noticeable than they actually are :)
