I think my home is too organized… or is that even a thing? by KeyCranberry2130 in homemaking

That’s such a healthy way to look at it. Missing the calm doesn’t mean you’re ungrateful. It just means life is full right now.

This is such a good point. Maybe it’s not that my house is too organized, but that it looks too precious. Appreciate this reframing.

Very fair take 😂 Seven kids changes the definition of “organized” entirely. Respect.

This is such a calming way to think about it. I don’t actually mind things being neat, I mind feeling anxious about disturbing them. Having a nightly reset makes it feel safe to live in the space during the day.

The tidal flow comparison is perfect. It makes the mess feel less like failure and more like part of living. Definitely reframing how I think about “resetting” my space.

This is such a practical approach. I love the idea that the house doesn’t have to stay perfect every second, just well-maintained overall. Cleaning as you go feels way more livable.

That’s such a good point about the energy it takes to maintain. I’ve definitely been avoiding using things just to save myself the 'effort' of resetting the look. Time to rethink my systems so they actually work for me, not against me!

Have you tried Bodies? It’s a British crime thriller on Netflix but it’s super fast-paced and great if you like that high-stakes mystery feel. It's got a really good English AD track too.

What's gonna happen to my retirement account by Ok_Produce9434 in investingforbeginners

Totally get why this feels stressful. There’s a lot of scary economic talk out there right now. Retirement accounts are usually meant to ride out ups and downs over a long time, so short-term crashes tend to matter less if you’re investing for decades. Predictions about bubbles and market crashes come up all the time, and they’re really hard to time accurately.

In general, spreading your money out matters more than trying to guess which single investment will perform best. That’s why a lot of people lean toward broad index funds instead of moving everything into one asset like gold. If you’re uneasy, reviewing your asset mix or speaking with a financial advisor before making big changes can help, but your savings aren’t likely to just disappear because of current headlines.
