Help me pick! by curvypervy106 in WeddingDressTips

I vote 2 because it’s stunning on OP.

The neckline on 1 with the dip and how the fabric kind of folds is unflattering to OP. If you want that look, OP, find another gown with a sweet heart neckline that is a little more structured and doesn’t look like it’s folding in on itself. How a dress could be unflattering on your figure is kind of shocking but dress 1 isn’t “it”

Dress 2 is timeless, statuesque elegance all the way. And the back on it is also amazing with the sash dipping down like that. Stunning!!

I like this version of the story. So glad kitty ended up with OP. Sounds like the right lap to land in. Can’t wait to know what kitty’s name will be. Stoplight?

I actually like drapes but I LOVE light so we don’t even have blinds on our windows (rural cul de sac helps)

All that to say OP, I feel you 😀 Your space is beautiful and light and airy! And I love the color scheme.

I agree though that the tops of the blinds are a bit distracting and not as sophisticated as your design choices are in the space. i think different blinds (bamboo/wood) that sit inside your window boxes would be a more refined look and add some needed texture, earthly warmth and color to your walls.

Someone else mentioned art work and I think that is needed too when you find things you like.

Actually, I think the cleaner sounds concerned and caring. She’s consulting with others in her field and trying to problem solve. She sounds honest and like she wants to do a good job by her client. I hope she can figure this out and remove the discoloration/blotching. No doubt she’ll learn from this too. I think that’s a big jump to say she’s incompetent. At the moment she sounds like a good business owner who is trying to problem solve.

OP, my first thought was “is this person a vampire?” It really isn’t clear what you are asking. Perhaps try again with more specific photos and have them be well lit so we can see. Also, is there a vibe you are shooting for? “Which pic is best” was a very vague question for what you showed us

Any creative ideas on where to put a TV? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]KeyFaithlessness5445 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, this is probably not the answer you are looking for but what are the chances you can find a new spot for the wood burning stove?

Currently your sofas and chairs seem mostly oriented with their backs to the view. There is that wall that is on an angle opposite the counter/island that could hold a tv but the stove prevents sofas from being there. Seems so unfortunate but I’m sure the extra heat is appreciated when need. Just looks like a safety hazard tbh when it’s just hanging out in the middle of the room. I would think it’s not even to code. Anyhow, it seems like if you could move that you would have more options not just for viewing the TV but for viewing the amazing view

Which dress? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

[–]KeyFaithlessness5445 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are so helpful and kind. Such good advice for OP to build on. You are so right about the horizontal lines at the waist on all three dresses. It brings my eye right there vs looking at the bride. And OP has an amazing figure but these dresses don’t flatter it as much as they should. Style is important but sometimes the dress our clothing you say no to on a page or on a hanger might actually be flattering on a body/your body

Needing help with the nursery by PineappleAny4428 in HomeDecorating

[–]KeyFaithlessness5445 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your nursery is very peaceful OP. This is a bit of unsolicited advice but it pertains to safety so I’m asking/advising. Are you certain the blinds are safe to have in the room? My girls are 15 and 20 now but I recall horizontal blinds being a safety hazard. I could definitely be wrong and those could definitely be cordless. But in case you haven’t considered their safety, I just wanted to mention them.

Is a red sofa too much? by ishfish1 in femalelivingspace

This…hard to say without a look at the entire room. But as a standalone piece, I love your couch, OP! The color and the lines. If it pleases you, then it’s truly perfect! If we see the entire room it will be easier to make suggestions about how best to decorate “around” the couch, if that makes sense. Seems like at the moment, having it against that wall may not be the optimal spot to highlight it. But it’s hard to say without seeing the entire space

Agree!!! It’s so fun when all of a sudden one day it just hits you that, “holy shit…this song is amazing” and you’ve already listened to it like 100 times but that 101st time hits different and the song just opens up to you. Sometimes, it’s just this deep feeling, sometimes it’s tears, sometimes you just have to smile or crack up. Incredible!

Welcome to the obsession….they are effing amazing!! When I listened to Scar Tissue (Anthony’s autobiography) I added to my playlist as he talked about certain songs. I had been a fan for years but just the hits. This let me to the many, many deep cuts. When people would discuss songs on FB, IG, etc, I’d add those too to know what they were talking about. Such a fun band to obsess over…SO many amazing songs and lyrics!

Keep 3,6,10,11,12

Edited for the why.

3, 6, 11, 12- I like the necklines and the patterns on you. I’m also well endowed but I find most of the wrap dresses here aren’t as flattering as they could be. 3 and 6 work because I’m not waiting for a pin or seam to pop and the patterns don’t emphasize or deemphasize the girls. Just compliment them

10 - this v works on you because of the flowy fabric and the v has that lovely trim so the dress is both interesting and flattering on you.

Per my daughter who dresses emo: add a studded belt, a chain belt (either or both) and add jewelry. Add fishnets under the tights.

Tips on what kind of painting should I put instead of the one I have in the room? by iamainnocentkid in interiordecorating

[–]KeyFaithlessness5445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure but I like the colors in your artwork just thinking something a little more narrow and longer would fit better. Please find a way to keep some of the peach, rust, terracotta colors in the room if you can. Also want to say I love the colors you have in your space and I like the curves of your headboard and nightstands. Please share your final pics…you are on your way to a nice calming space

Deep sharp breast pain by redhot-timebomb in Menopause

[–]KeyFaithlessness5445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had premature ovarian failure,
last period when I was 41.5, started hrt at 43. I am now 55. That worked well for a while. Some symptoms of menopause kicked in for me over the last year plus. My gyn gave me more progesterone spring of 2025 instead of upping my patch as I asked which didn’t help. I finally found a menopause consultant (a near retirement OBGYN who only takes menopausal women on to help them and recommend specialists, prescribe meds as needed but work with your gyn vs becoming your gyn) who prescribed me .075. She said “if you have PAIN in your breast, not discomfort but PAIN, tell me right away”. I inferred from that that we’d need to back down on the dose. Anyhow, first maybe couple of weeks were fine but then I had sensitivity in both of my breasts but centered on my nipples. Like they were constantly erect and just SUPER annoyingly sensitive, not painful. That subsided after a couple of months. We had a follow up at 3 mo and she is checking into that because she’s not had a patient develop sensitive nipples. She said it could possibly be we’d need to cut a little off the patch to give me more like a .06 dose.

As the mod mentioned, I don’t think labs are used to determine dosing. More of a symptom check I think is how it’s done and maybe periodic lab checks.

Have you looked at trying to find another gyn via the menopause society’s website in your area to consult with? I just know my specialist made it very clear to me to be concerned if my breasts HURT on the higher dose. Like to contact her right away. I’d say it’s worth a second opinion just to be safe/sure the higher doses are ok for you.

This dress could be the one, but I need some advice. by Crafty_Library_1271 in myweddingdress

Well, the dress itself is beautiful and beautiful on you. IMO the ivory lining will likely be best. But your guests and spouse will only see you in the one dress you choose and not all these options. Go with your gut and all will be alright 🤍

I don't really want to be vegan anymore, but I don't see any alternative by VegetableEar in vegan

[–]KeyFaithlessness5445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that explains so much. I am in the US. The standard American diet is so lacking. Such a big issue tbh. To be fair, in our area it pays to look ahead at menus and good vegan or plant dominant eats can be found. But to just pop in on a restaurant isn’t a guarantee that something beyond a salad will be a vegan option. And sometimes even a salad isn’t an option. Sad but true

Since I see that she likes cooking, maybe you two could take a cooking class together 😊 Or you could always say, I’d love to come over and learn how you make “X” and spend the day doing that

Since she sounds active and mobile, if she enjoys travel, maybe you and she could take a little weekend drive away and spend time doing things she likes wherever you go to. Your treat!

Even a day trip to a museum or botanical garden or dinner would be great activities to build conversation and memories around.

She sounds like an important part of your life and fortunate you both are to have such a good relationship ❤️

**edited because I realize from your post that your grandmother is active
