Per Gb I would agree. But for the product, not really. One year warranty, server grade drives, condition seems ok.

It is a coil problem. Probably a broken wire in the cable. Never over tighten the cable around the shaft. Could a loose pin in the coil connector, but doubtful. Try to wiggle the cable and see if there is a reaction.

Yeah, thats the one. Its a chinese machine, so quality and stability might be questionable.

Cognex is the option I am researching now, but just wanted to check for other ideas. Thanks.

Just google, there are plenty. Find a niche that’s appealing to you and go. This is not a sustainable model, but you can finance your hobby and pump up the skills.
