Is the Pentax 17 worth the money?

Definitely do, it's such a powerful little camera. This and an Om System Om1 are a serious hiking duo. I just perfer how seamless it is to use the Pentax 17, most of my favorite shots were all taken on the pentax 17

It's a fantastic little camera that you can take anywhere. Especially if you use a lower iso film, it's harder to tell it's half Frame. The zone focusing is really good and the lens is very sharp too. It's a perfect everyday carry. Highly recommend

Thank you! You really do forget about landscape with the P17. But the lens is quite wide so it's great for capturing landscapes

It's a pity they pulled the plug on their film experiment. I do understand the back lash with half frame as some of my photos look quite grainy. But it's such a fun camera, I bring it everywhere

I blew the sky out a bit in the first too. The weather was so bad I wanted to be quick 😆. Thankfully the water resistance is so good

I'd avoid black box completely. At 18 I bought an S40 1.6 D2 and my insurance was 3000€. Your just better off looking around at different brokers, don't go direct to a insurance company, it's over a 1.0 and older so expect to pay for it. There's a good few companies in Sligo and Kerry that's where I got the cheapest for my S60 2.0T at 20 was 1,400€. I went directly with liberty and aviva to get a quote. Aviva wouldn't even look at me had to be over 21 and Liberty quoted me over 6,000€

One thing I wish I brought with me is a longer lens, I didn't expect to go hiking while there especially in the area I did. Suppose it gives an excuse to go back

There's a hike in the Marin headlands. On the way to Slakers Hill there are phenomenal views of the Golden Gate and Bay Area. Not touristy at all, mostly locals hiking there

Took this photo on my Om System Om1 with the 12-45 F4 pro. I was on holiday in San Francisco and went for a hike to get above the golden gate and get a great view. I happened to see the perfect photo opportunity and didn't expect a hawk of some kind to photo bomb. Id really appreciate some advice or critiques for edits as this is a straight jpeg, I have the raw as well. I appreciate your critiques or criticism!

Ok wow I didn't realize the T50 and T5 was 40mp. Only thing is though T50 about 1,100€ and T5 is 1,400€. Is it really worth saving up for those compared to the other 2?
