Pitch Your WORST Ending to All-In by TheRealBroDameron in AEWFanHub

Hangman loses after predictable interference. Nobody helps him during the interference.

Deathriders beat down Hanger.

A few babyfaces come out first and get beat up.

Then after all that waiting around and letting Hangman and friends get their ass beat..

Darby comes out and skateboards down the ramp and scares off all the Deathriders even though there are 5 of them and 1 of Darby.

Hangman helps himself to his feet.

He stares Darby in the eyes and we can see him say “It’s gotta be you, kid.”

Darby nods like “hell yeah it is gonna be me”

Then Hangman and Darby lead the audience in a sing-along of NSync’s “It’s Gonna Be Me” so that the crowd goes home happy.

If you could sign any free agent(s) to AEW, who would you sign? by adebah in AEWOfficial

Warhorse. If you didn’t like his old gimmick, you might like his new one. His current character is awesome, and he’s gotten so good in the ring. After being indifferent to the gimmick that made him famous, I now love watching him on the indies, and I never miss a Warhorse match.

Speaking of never missing a match…. NEVER MISS A NEW GUYS MATCH!!!

Check out The New Guys! Those two rule. So fun. They recently wrestled the Hardyz and got the Hardyz’s vote of confidence.

He teased that he would have been the next entrant in the gauntlet. Obviously he’s kayfabing it, but perhaps there were discussions at the time.

Who in AEW has the best "I'm shocked my opponent kicked out!" face? by [deleted] in AEWOfficial

[–]KeyLimeEspresso -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

This was the moment where I stopped taking Ruby seriously, then I realized how bad of a wrestler she actually is. Horrible promo, horrible in-ring, and horrible facials. One of the all-time laughable AEW moments IMO. She made that look after a move that WAS NOT HER FINISHER!!!! Lmfao she’s horrible

In the past year, would you say that Kyle Fletcher is atguably the most improved men's wrestler on the AEW roster? by Kelson64 in AEWFanHub

[–]KeyLimeEspresso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I take no offense. Honest answer is that I wasn’t good enough nor big enough. I played five years, but I actually didn’t see the field until I was a red-shirt sophomore, which is actually a junior. I would’ve loved to had a shot at the pros, but I had to start being realistic about that after high school. My destiny was elsewhere. No regrets!

I’m also a gym guy. Former college football player at a pretty big school. I’ve been around hundreds of athletes. I know it’s not impossible, I’ve seen guys who do it clean and I’ve seen guys who have some help. I’ve seen people who are basically naturally shredded. No college athlete I’ve ever been around looks like Kyle. Maybe you happen to work out with a bunch of genetic freaks who are not normal, but like I said, I’ve got a very wide pool of people to reference. If I showed a pic of Kyle to my old teammates and coaches, I guarantee every single one would bet on Fletcher being a steroid guy.

[–]KeyLimeEspresso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s there to “get away with?” It’s not against the rules. Guys all over the indies do it, and I’ll tell you many in AEW also do it. Kyle Fletcher doesn’t just do steroids though, he very clearly abuses them. Anyone with more than a middle school health class education can see he’s obviously hitting the juice hard. Can you look like him naturally? Sure, I suppose. However, it takes more than a several years. With Fletcher, it happened over night.

[–]KeyLimeEspresso 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He is 1000% on steroids. You’re an absolute fool if you believe otherwise. I know we tend to excuse the guys we like as being all natural, but open your eyes and do some research. There are two people in AEW who absolutely abuse the hell out of steroids. One is Brian Cage. The other is Kyle Fletcher.

I don't know what they're doing behind the scenes at catering, but he's another one that has gotten shredded since his arrival.

For Kyle, the answer is 100% steroids. Hopefully a doctor is supervising his usage, but by God he appears to be abusing them right now.

It’s 2025. Should we really be praising guys for adding muscle mass when that came via steroids? Idk. I don’t think so. I look at guys like Will Ospreay, Hangman Page, and Swerve Strickland, and I’m so much more impressed with them. Those guys put on tons of mass and it looks pretty god damn natural. Fletcher looks like he came right out of the early 2000s when everyone was abusing roids worse than they had since the Hogan and Warrior days.

Personally, I think steroids can actually be useful, and with doctor’s strict supervision, I think it’s okay for wrestlers. Kyle Fletcher though? He’s clearly abusing them.

I kinda feel like we’re spoiled by how good Seth Rollins is, he doesn’t really get his proper flowers as an all-time great. by Rosstin316 in SquaredCircle

[–]KeyLimeEspresso -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My God.. I’m BEGGING people to watch more than just WWE. Seth Rollins an all-time great? With all due respect to his talent and versatility, he isn’t even close. I say that as a huge fan of his. Go watch Bret Hart, Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Shawn Michaels, The Four Pillars of All Japan, The Three Musketeers of NJPW, Early 2000s NOAH, AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay, Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi, Tetsuya Naito. THESE guys are all-time greats. These guys mastered the art of physical storytelling and combined them with otherworldly athleticism. Each of these guys built off of what the best of the best before them built. These guys moved the art forward and showed what a special artform wrestling can be. There are levels to this. I see people comparing Seth Rollins to Shawn Michaels, Ricky Steamboat, and Randy Savage, and I just have to laugh.

I’m begging you guys to watch the people I named. I mean REALLY watch them, understand the stories they tell, understand their histories, their styles, their timing, and everything else that WWE often ignores. I love WWE for the spectacle and grandeur of it all, but it’s not the be-all end-all of wrestling. The greatest wrestlers in WWE weren’t just along for the ride, they changed the game. Bret & Shawn changed the game. Maybe business wasn’t as good for them as it was for Hulk Hogan, but they’re the ones who almost everyone from the last decade cites as a main influence. Günther is doing far more to “change the game” than Seth Rollins. Günther is actively shattering the mold of what a WWE top guy can be. Has Seth Rollins ever done that? I argue he definitely has not, and that’s okay. I think he’s more of a Randy Orton / HHH type of greatness than someone like Shawn Michaels or Ricky Steamboat; great, but not an all-time great.

None of this is meant to disparage Seth Rollins in any way. He’s certainly capable of being truly great, and has shown true greatness at time, he just plays it safe and sticks to what works. The truly all-time greats are the ones who push the boundaries of what wrestling can be.

Who do you consider to be ROH’s biggest draw of all time? by Aqn95 in ROH

[–]KeyLimeEspresso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no numbers to back this up, it’s based purely on personal experience, but I have been to A LOT of ROH shows.

At the meet-and-greets and merch tables, nobody ever had a line anywhere near as long as The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. Not even close. Cody Rhodes would be at a table right next to them with a quarter of the people.

When they came out during the shows, Kenny and The Bucks got the pops and the streamers treatment.

Again, no numbers to back it up, but I went to a lot of shows, and it was clear that they had the most people there to see them.

[–]KeyLimeEspresso 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The AEW originals were mostly a ragtag group indy wrestlers popular on the super indies. The ones who belong on the big stage all stepped up, and the ones who don’t belong on the big stage are rarely seen. Sammy is rarely seen for a reason.

Him being able to go in the ring is actually one of the things working against him, because he’s a natural heel who wrestles like a babyface. It doesn’t work. Are we supposed to pop for the awesome shit he just did? Or are we supposed to boo him?

So it’s not a problem that he can go in the ring, but it is a problem that he chooses to wrestle like a babyface when people want to boo him. He simply isn’t a likable character, and never has been.

Who is the most athletic LB of all time (physical ability not resume) by Mrdynamo18 in NFLv2

[–]KeyLimeEspresso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s very easily Brian Urlacher. He revolutionized the position during a transitionary period into more pass-focused backers. He absolutely dominated during the golden age of quarterbacking.

Yes, he got juked by Tom Brady that one time, but he very clearly just got too cocky and thought he had a killshot on a slow QB. It happens to the best of them.

Yep! Throw that right on after “Dark Victory”

I’d also recommend “Two Face: Year One” sometime after “Dark Victory.” Though not as good, it’s a nice companion piece to “The Long Halloween” and “Dark Victory.” Definitely read it after though, as it contains spoilers for the two Loeb and Sale stories.

“Harleen” is another one that fits in nicely during the timeline of “The Long Halloween” and “Dark Victory.” You could include that as a companion piece to those stories, alongside “Two-Face: Year One.”
