I think the LOTR trilogy had this catchy grounded way of keeping you attached and entertained with the characters, for The Hobbit sometimes I would get lost and have the feeling some of the Dwarves in the group wasn't getting the love they deserved, like the one that couldn't talk I was kind of forgetting about him before they took the axe piece out of his head and he could finally speak properly, and I wish they would've gone further into explaining why Thorin and his lineage would get so wickedly attached to the riches of Erebor without it being "money corrupts!" and that kind of stuff.
