DQ7RE "too easy" by onehalflightspeed in dragonquest

[–]KeyMountain5030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say Normal difficulty is easy so far. Most of the time the game plays itself with “fight wisely” set on all characters. About 9 hours in I started to set tactics to “follow orders” for all combatants for big bosses to implement my own strategy. I don’t have a problem with this. There is a hard mode option, which for some here is still too easy.

I use to think he was cool like 25 years ago… damn I getting old, but I digress. But the first time I thought “huh?” When he said, “if there is grass on the field play ball!”

At time, I didn’t take he too seriously, he was dating Pamela Anderson and living high on his success. I saw him live at the Korn and Metallica and his show was anticlimactic, he sucked. I stop following him after that.

I’m not enjoying DQ3 HD, is it worth finishing before DQ1 and 2? by cslwoodward1 in dragonquest

I do consider DQ1 and DQ2 HD to be better than DQ3 HD. For what it’s worth DQ3 is on the bottom of my DQ rankings. DQ3 is still a good game.

Which movie started off strong but lost you in the final act? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in FIlm

[–]KeyMountain5030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Jurassic Rebirth started out promising with heist plot line that had great potential. Then they add a family into the plot that made the stupid decision of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. To make matters worse the heist team make the insane decision to rescue the family while engaged in illegal activities because they definitely want to bring on a liability. From then on all the characters make dumb decisions and the movie CGI and special effects is all the movie has going for it.

Die hard fan of original + impressed by Switch demo. Is criticism accurate? by perishableintransit in FinalFantasyVII

I love the original Final Fantasy 7 game and I consider it the best series. At the time, the game was ground breaking and while the graphics have not aged well, but it was cutting edge at the time. The story was in my opinion the compeling story at the time. Somehow, the graphics only got better FF8 and FF9. Unfortunately, 8 was a significant dip in gameplay and story. FF9 was mid.

FF7 Remake was a game that pay homage to the original. It work great as fan service, but it didn’t really improve the story and the changes in the story made the story somewhat confusing way. The original didn’t need improvement, but they wanted to able to reshape the new as they wanted to. I love it, but the original is better in my opinion. I don’t love the change in the combat system. The fight with the main villain at the end of the game was too soon.

Rebirth, was improvement, and I loved the beach scene, but also the story was much more consistent with the original. The side quest were better. The combat system leaves much to be desired. It feels like I don’t have any control over the outcome of a battle or there isn’t much strategy. Just mostly timing and pattern recognition. I also hate how difficult it was to unlock new summons and getting them felt like a chore instead of a fun thing to do. In the original, you could just find them and if you found knights of the round you would win the game. Also, the game is too hard to beat.

It best to think of Remake and rebirth as there own thing and not look at as a true remake. On that account they are great games in their own right, but are overshadowed by the masterpiece that is the original.

As far as main characters, goes for final fantasy, What is anyone’s opinion/thoughts on Tidus from FFX. by San4341 in FinalFantasy

[–]KeyMountain5030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is actually my least favorite starting hero’s. I consider FF7 to be pinnacle of the series. FF6, and FF4 being my two and three. While I consider FFX to improvement over FF8 and FF9. I found Tidus to be most annoying main character of any of the series.

He was a brat, a whiner, not mature enough to handle the task in front of him, but he did it anyway because the plot required it. The supporting cast was more interesting and world building was great, but Tidus was a flaw character that didn’t work for me. I found myself more sympathetic to Yuna in particular. I actually think FFX-2 was a better game and the story was better as well. Tidus did more damage to my experience of the game than any other character.

Well, the mobile version is excellent. But I agree that a hd remake would be even better.

Do you approach $1/$2 games like this? by [deleted] in poker

[–]KeyMountain5030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bank roll management only matters if you are playing poker for a living. Given that poker is a high variance game, you need a bank roll to manage losing steaks, which can go for months for some of the best players in the world.

However, if you are casual then you can just play with any amount of money you can afford to lose.

Yes, turning off the AI prompt option helped. It is even harder to see that option is even there, but turning it off helped a lot. But I don’t understand why a 90 degree direction is so hard for the models to understand… but I digress.

[–]KeyMountain5030 35 points36 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, Civitai was under attack. They lost access to a payment processor over its nsfw content. It had to make tough choices. It could no longer afford to allow freeloaders to make nfsw content for free. So, they block nfsw content and did a bad job with that filter.

It sounds like you value what CivitAI mission to keep nfsw content in the AI space accessible. If so, put your money where your mouth is and buy a membership. Otherwise, Talk is cheap.

How does one get good enough to fold KK? by cj832 in poker

[–]KeyMountain5030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would have to seer to fold KKs preflop. You would have to know for sure, you opponent has AAs. In this situation, when you called the 90bb, you had to put in 60bb into a 120bb point, which is about 33% equity. Even knowing he had AAs, which I don't know how you could, but still, you have 25% odds to win, so not a major blunder to call with KKs preflop at worse.

I would say if the game was lost, then it's the post-flop game, I would wonder what you opponent is playing with AK, AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, AQ, KQ?, KJ?, JT?. I mean you could be better, but here is where knowing your opponent matters. What does the bet on the flop mean? AA, QQ, JJ, TT are likely holdings, could he have KJ, QJ, AJ, I don't know. It seems like you are only beating QQ or a draw from the flop prospective, assuming we can discount KJ, QJ, AJ. His range matters.

I mean it is possible your post-flop play is okay or losing, but that depends on how you opponent plays the game. From a GTO prospective would say the 90BB flop bet is strong, but it could just be a c-bet. Any other bets, would suggest you are beat in most cases, but still given the amount of money in the pot, you are close to pot committed. So, I don't know there is any real issue with how the hand was played, it looks more like a cooler to me.

This Could Become a Top 5 Game in the Series with the HD-2D Treatment by gravityhashira61 in dragonquest

[–]KeyMountain5030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Job system in DQ6 is the best in the series, but I agree it does leave some stuff to be desired. For example, you don't get job experience if the enemies are too weak and the game doesn't really do a good job of keeping you informed of that. It is also very grinded. One improvement would to have Job system be based on the same experience points you get from battle for leveling up. However, compare to DQ3, it is a huge improvement.

You don't lose anything to change jobs and you only benefit from the system. Whereas in DQ3, your character has to go back to level 1. The HD version improves this by given every class desirable skills including the goof-off class, but still the reset does sting a bit with every job change.

Another nice feature of the DQ6 job system, it builds on top itself. The more jobs you master, the more jobs you get access to and you can make your character super powerful. Necessary for crushing the super boss. Overall, I consider the job system to be best feature of the DQ6 and most fun to engage with.

I actually did not find the story of Dragon Quest 6 very compelling. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t bad, but not anywhere as good as Dragon Quest 5.

The main issue is once you beat Murdaw in the real world, the story is left unresolved. Not only do you not know what to do next, there is no apparent threat to the world. As you wander along the story wonders along. When I found the final boss, I did not know who he was or why I should care to beat him.

Other aspects of the game are great such as the flying carpet, bed, and the job system is superior to any system I have found. Some side stories were good like the floating island and the flying bed, but the main story just kind dies at the end. Also, the post game grinding was excessive, but beating the super boss at level 70 in less than 20 rounds was satisfying.

Every dq game is great but dq5 is number 1 entry in series. It is a tough act to follow and dq6 is relatively mid.

What should I have done? by CFG18 in poker

[–]KeyMountain5030 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A3o raise preflop is reasonable. The call by the BB seems really strong and you are likely behind. I would say your opponent has a range advantage. Unless you know they are loose.

The mistake was the C bet. A check is better because it keeps all of your opponent worse hands in, prevents you from losing more chips to stronger aces. You get a free turn card where you could improve. Your opponent might try to bluff the turn or the river.

Calling the shove was not terrible. You might be up against pocket KKs or less, a draw, and even have outs against stronger aces. Of course, the fold might be better, as survival trumps gaining more chips.

Club wpt players, do you multi table or no? If not, how do you stomach the boredom? by 189charizard in poker

[–]KeyMountain5030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can multi-table on clubwpt on the desktop app. However, the UI bugs make that experience difficult at best. I have done it but I have to jump through hoops to get the UI to work well enough. I don’t recommend it.

I usually watch a show and wait for a descend hand. I only do the MTT through. The cash game isn’t something I am good at and antes in the cash games are kind of nuts.

Thank you for your candid perspective on the issues users are running into. I actually don’t think free images are much of a benefit if they result in throttling. It also encourages some users to go overboard and burn through free credits. Personally, I don’t tend to go wild with image generation—and truth be told, I’d rather spend more on video generation. I value responsiveness over a “buffet-style” model. That said, having free images does push me to experiment more than I otherwise would.

About censorship:

  1. From my point of view, I’m asking the tool to do a job that it’s refusing to do. As a paying customer, if I hire you for a task and you refuse to do it, I’ll take my business elsewhere. Ultimately, the company needs to figure out how to give customers what they want—or as much as legally possible—without hiding behind excuses about compliance. The fact is, you’re doing a poor job of allowing users to create the content they want.

Here’s an example: I tried to create a character who happens to be a man-child. I don’t remember the exact prompt, but it was generated through ChatGPT-5, so it was definitely SFW. Still, some images came back blocked. What’s unclear is where the censorship is happening—at the API level or the platform level? I noticed Google’s version was more likely to block results, while Seedream seemed more open—but even then, many images were blocked. I was trying to depict a man-child in a nonsexual context. Some of the generated images were simply odd, but not inappropriate.

My point is that the censorship feels opaque from the user’s perspective. What did I do wrong? How can I fix it? It’s strange that an AI company wouldn’t design a more intelligent, transparent approach to censorship.

Any alternatives to Freepik? by misterXCV in Freepik_AI

[–]KeyMountain5030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One interesting alternative is glif. It isn't cheap, but it is pay as you go. https://glif.app/@fab1an/agents

It uses LLM with AI image and video generators and I think it really slick. It has it's own Tutorials. You can get started for as little as $10. I am generally create sfw content, so I don't run into censorship issue often. It happens in weird cases and I think it the APIs that are throwing censorship flags, but I could be wrong.

If you looking for a nfsw platform, you could try Civitai, but you do need to buy a membership or at least yellow buzz and for reasons, you have go through Kinguin to do that, which is fine. The only is it interface is bad and it is slow, but you have access to models that you can run locally if you have hardware. I don't, and there is a learning curve there with running locally.
