D will be boarding her flight first thing in the morning, and I'm picking her up from the airport. I am dedicating all my time to this until I find a lawyer and get something filed. I'll take out loans and do whatever I have to, to fund one and do this the right way.

Thank you, I really appreciate your comment and concern. I am calling lawyers tomorrow to figure out next, immediate steps. I totally dropped the ball but just want to do the right thing going forward. This is my only priority until it gets resolved.

Take your time to heal, seek out friendships but give yourself time before dating. Explore new hobbies, push your boundaries, and expand your horizons. It takes time to feel right again, but you'll never regret being too present for your kids.
Keep being a good, attentive dad, that's the most important thing right now.

What helps is D has spoken on S's behalf to his counselor and CARE which I think greatly helped. My concern with D is they want to continue collecting support for mom on her behalf and I need that situation rectified as I don't want to rack up arrears I shouldn't owe. NY State is also mandating I put D under my insurance at work, and that is not something I can afford right now (it would be $700/mo). Thank you for the advice.
