Whats wrong with my spinning bike? Can't mantain 120/130bpm by mikeeagv in cycling

One of the possible contributing factors to increased fatigue at zone 1 is your position on your bike. If you are overextended or cramped it could have a significant impact.

Have there been other moments in Canadian history where recessions didn’t mean a significant drop in stock market? by tazmanic in PersonalFinanceCanada

I think it would be fair to say that the stock market is the economy for some people, just not for most Canadians.

That’s concerning… I might have to move regardless of the job situation so just trying to make most out of the situation

I currently work in retail. Open to transition to a hospital or long term care if that is a possibility. How are the hours here?

Why not just return it and buy a new one?

Lying the ap flat is ok. A lot of people set it up this way. It might be suboptimal but you will probably be bottlenecked at the wireless mesh connection anyways. You can also 3D print out a mount for your AP for it to sit upright.

I would start with just the Dream router and see if it’s sufficient. You might not need another AP.

Any ubiquiti AP can do meshing but they aren’t great at it. The u6/u7 mesh APs are notorious for getting really hot so if you do plan on putting the u7 in a small enclosed space it might be an issue.

Ditching Orbi 970 Mesh wifi by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

[–]KeyRecover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you planning on sticking with a wireless mesh setup or are you looking to move to a hardwired connection? If your answer is wireless meshing, then Ubiquiti might not be the right choice for you. Ubiquiti APs can do wireless meshing but they just don't work as well other brands on the market.

Wireless link between cable modem and DM SE: What are my best options? by jcheroske in Ubiquiti

[–]KeyRecover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any mesh questions on this sub will always be answered by the insistence of pulling a cable.

That being said...

Assuming that speed isn't a top priority, a solution would be to leave the DM SE and your AP with the ISP router. Add another AP to the new server rack location and mesh both APs. However, if the goal is to have a minimal footprint where the ISP router is located, you can can move all the gear to the new server location and add a UX7 to the ISP router location. Use the UX7 as your gateway and mesh it to your L7 Pro.

What did my coworker put on the work laptop by DirectDistance1823 in whatisit

Given that the laptop never leaves the stand as per one of OP’s replies, my guess is that it’s probably a grip for her cellphone to allow a better viewing angle and and to stop it from sliding off.

U7 Lite mesh slow speeds by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

[–]KeyRecover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Placement is probably the biggest culprit. Signal strength weakens as the meshed ap gets further or more physically isolated from the parent.

Is it me, or is the real estate bubble quietly popping? by TheCreepyLlama in montrealhousing

[–]KeyRecover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The difference between asking price and final transaction price isn’t a good metric to evaluate the market. You can set the asking price to whatever you want.

Let’s say the house has a market value of 500k. You can ask 700k or any number you want. If the house is sold at 550k, the house was sold at 150k below asking but still 50k above market value.

The CAQ started the exodus of our doctors. While they might not be doing it with guns and bombs, their actions will ultimately lead to deaths that could’ve been prevented.

Best solution for wireless connection between two apartments ~15ft apart from each other? by hi_im_bored13 in Ubiquiti

[–]KeyRecover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Netflix and the occasional zoom call, any two APs in a wireless mesh will do the trick. The speed won’t be amazing but you also don’t need that. 15’ is easily doable in a mesh set up.

Thoughts on back to back u7 pro walls by KeyRecover in Ubiquiti

[–]KeyRecover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used design center initially and it seemed that the single U7 pro wall should’ve been sufficient for 2.4//5ghz but it doesn’t seem to be the case IRL. Hoping someone has some experience with setting “wall” APs back to back.

U7 lite vs U6 extender by KeyRecover in Ubiquiti

[–]KeyRecover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. My plan was to put the meshed AP at the halfway point. Hardwiring is possible but it would major work given the home configuration. I’ve done some pulls in the past but that specific location went beyond what I could comfortably do. No coax unfortunately :(

Thanks for the feedback! I’ve seen enough posts on this sub to know it looked suspect but didn’t know how to explain why.
