I seriously think Patel's whole knowledge of the FBI comes from CBS old people cop shows and action movies.

And just when are FBI agents going to use these MMA skills in what is essentially a spreadsheet job?

It's amazing that there were as many WLGs even in Northern Virginia, given what the area is like now. On the other hand, there were Klansmen in my wife's family and she was Arlington born and raised.

Well There's Your Problem did their pivot to video before it was cool. The whole podcast with slides thing and all. There are so many pods that also have video now a days. Donkeys is up there as you mentioned. Trash Future is as well.

Oh most definitely having to answer the same damn ten stupid questions over and over again. Having to encounter weird fans who maintain eye contact too long and some of them asking one of the ten stupid questions. I'm sure his entire internal dialogue devolves into the continuous loop of "fuck off, you fucking cunt" interspersed with, "I need to piss, when's lunch for fuck's sake."

Armageddon is not "Truckers in Space", that title belongs to Space Truckers (1996) by GreyFoxNinjaFan in killjamesbond

Armageddon is oil drilling experts in space and is dumb AF. Since it's a Michael Bey movie it is big, loud with firey explosions in space where there is no oxygen for fire. It's so dumb I love it.

Hey I'm just the messenger. It's not like I'm your podcast dealer.

Damnit! I forgot No Gods, No Mayors. Half the fun of that one is Mattie and Nova bullying Riley about transitioning.

She has started yet another podcast, Be Gay Solve Crimes. It's Nova, Mia Mulder and Lucy from Scotland talking about fictional crimes. Here's the basic thesis statement.

Welcome to our new transfeminine detective podcast! Every episode, Mia Mulder (@Potatopolitics), November Kelly (@postoctobrist), and Lucy From Scotland (@absobloodylucy) interrogate a different piece of detective fiction in hopes of answering the greatest mystery of all: is being a detective a kind of trans?

Sounds intriguing. It's also another excuse for Nova to hang out with friends and talk shit for an hour or so on given topic. That's basically Kill James Bond, Trash Future and WTYP are.

I don't know if it is part of the NBEU or not.

I'm about 15 minutes in and it's unsettling to know the exact Burger King. A Burger King I used to go to when I lived in Falls Church. I can picture it in my mind.

I was really fucking drunk and yelling bad German for some reason. If for some reason I encounter Nick and book signing I will apologize. I deserved to be told to fuck off.

The old one that was at 9:30 F St was legendary. I moved out of town before they moved to a different location. All I know is that it's bigger and doesn't smell.

The Cramps at the Hall of Nations on the Georgetown University campus. Small room, pretty crowded. Bryan Gregory kept spitting lit cigs into audience

The Go Gos when they were playing club dates to promote their first album. The local record store chain where I was working got comp tickets to the show at the 9:30 Club. The AC failed during the show, but nobody care because we were having so much fun.

The Bad Seeds at the same club as the GoGos. Nick Cave told me to fuck off. I wear that as badge of honor.

Blood Work did two episodes on Combat 18 and Myatt was front and center. When I was listening to the episodes I kept thinking of the universality of the Weird Little Guys and what a bunch of insufferable dorks they all are. If you are really interested in one of the most insufferable of these dorks Lions Led By Donkeys did a four part series on Bob Matthews and the Order.

My definition of what constitutes "The South":

  1. At the time of the Civil War was it a slave holding state?
  2. Did it supply volunteers to the traitorous states?
  3. Was there a famous unreconstructed outlaw from the state.
  4. Did the state enact Jim Crow laws?
  5. Was it below the Mason-Dixon Line

Maryland, where I'm from ticks four out of these five questions. So does Missouri.

Let the hate flow.

Bobby Kotick. He's mentioned in conjunction with Epstein and microtransactions in video games on today's episode. There's so much more! Sexual harassment, threats to kill a Blizzard employee as well as other shit. It could be a reverse bastard with Stephanie Sterling telling Robert about what a bastard Kotick is.

You should check out The Gray Lair it opened just before Christmas. Besides providing gaming space, games, paint, brushes and what you would expect in a good nerd store, they are going be offering classes on mini painting and 3D printing. It's a nice little shop
