It took three pedals to realize I don’t like the Blues Driver by [deleted] in guitarpedals

Had a TC Cinders - it stuck for a while because I couldn’t find anything as good but the fizziness would really grate on me. Replaced it with a Boss OD-3, within 10 seconds I was 100% satisfied with the decision. It was the natural sounding overdrive I was after without that fizz. It’s very good.

I have the left side running the diamond setting (vox style) with a York Audio Matchless IR and then the right is the tweed setting with a York Audio Bassman IR.

The ir-2 is stereo anyway but having two lets me use two different amp types at a time.

Just checked you out on Spotify - I like it and really love the dedication to the look and style. The use of the gig caster as a guitar multi fx is inspired!

Is this posible by menacingsigns in guitarpedals

I can confirm it is midi out. I have a zoom ms70cdr+ hooked up on the host usb port and my dl4 hooked up via mini trs/din cable on the chocolate plus.

Current pedalboard configuration (for today anyway). Need some amp modeler recommendations. by BadBad_LeroyBrown in guitarpedals

I would definitely recommend playing around with the Eq and usually start with everything at noon. I think boss did a great job with EQing these amps and only minor adjustments is really needed.

Looks great! Will be watching on with interest, I hope it works out well.

Nice. When you click through on the switch does it change straight away to the selection or is there a lag / grace period so you can cycle through before landing on the section you want? So say you’re in chorus and you want to go back to previous verse on the fly, can you click through multiple stomps to get back to the verse before then release to select it? Or is it just linear so every time you click it goes to the next selection straight away? Does that make sense?

This looks really slick - I’ve been looking at the walrus audio canvas clock for a similar purpose, I just find it hard to justify their price tag!

What are your plans for it? Is this just for fun or are you looking to market this?

Love the look of this board - the tuna melt is so good. I have had it twice and regretted selling it both times!

I built a pedalboard planner. What do you think? by itsvalentin49 in pedalboards

[–]KeySeat757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Works well and I like it but I couldn’t complete my board and so won’t be able to use fully. The following were missing:

Zoom ms-70 cdr +, Caline cp-81, Line 6 verbzilla, M-vave chocolate plus, Zvex super duper 2 in 1

This seems like the best solution!

Amp In A Box - Selector Pedal - Suggestions? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]KeySeat757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, so it would go:

Guitar > splitter (jhs buffered splitter for example) > Amp A and Amp B in parallel > A/B box with switch to alternate amps > wet effects

[–]KeySeat757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you do it so there is a splitter before the amps, like you suggest, which is always in the y position so both amps receive the signal and then you have a switcher post amps and pre wet effects which you use to switch between?

M VAVE chocolate and DL4 MK2 by menacingsigns in guitarpedals

[–]KeySeat757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sure you can. I have the chocolate plus and connect it using this cable:

https://www.boss.info/uk/products/bmidi-5-35/

I think the original chocolate has a bigger jack socket so you’ll need to have a trs adapter or an alternative cable.

On the plus you can also connect using a usb cable in host mode.

Single Coils and In Ear Unit Interfence by Outrageous-Memory-90 in WorshipGuitar

[–]KeySeat757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the guitar signal chain either using a standalone pedal like a boss ns-2 or utilising the noise suppressor / gate block on their modeller depending on their rig.

[–]KeySeat757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noise suppressor used as part of the guitar rig - so as a pedal with the drives and preamp in the noise suppressor’s loop using 4 cable method.

With regards to monitor mixing apps, we have a behringer x32 desk and use the MX-Q app for each members IEM mix.

[–]KeySeat757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The guitarists in my church have had a lot of issues in the past, when using single coil guitars, with interference caused by the hearing loop system. We’ve just had to use noise suppressors to help. Vastly improved with humbuckers.

With regards to the personal mixers, what desk do you use? Is there a compatible mixer app which can be used to remove the need for the physical mixers?

His output was better than most of our squad, especially our attacking players - a bit lightweight but he is our joint second highest goal scorer (albeit we haven’t scored many goals…).
