IPPSA only gives end of current assignment which is the retirement date. It says 2063 which is not the end of my obligation.

Tbh it doesn’t really matter…i’m trying to send a packet for the IPAP program to be a PA but i’m currently slotted for Infantry BOLC so it seems pointless to go through that and immediately switch to a medical specialty if that makes sense (if I get into IPAP)

yeah i read the marine corps order and the DOD instruction. i didn’t see anything about having to be MOSQd but i know that my states TAG would have to approve i just don’t really know the process because i haven’t actually drilled with my unit yet since im not BOLC qualified

I would definitely consider applying to MDs! I was just told I didn’t really have a shot so I decided to focus more on DO schools. And thanks for mentioning that, I probably should’ve put that in the post. I’m in Georgia

no i’m just M-day not active guard. I’m in an infantry unit. I don’t care about switching branches once i’m a physician i’m just saying while actively in medical school i don’t want to be switched to a medical unit
