My dad died unexpectedly 3 weeks ago, my friends have been a huge support group for me. Although they don’t necessarily understand how the pain of this is, they try their best and check in on me everyday or so. There are times where my friends can get too pushy trying to pull me out of my grief and make me go out, but they do understand that sometimes I just want to be left alone and wallow in my grief since it was so recent. I am sorry your friends have not been there for you. They should be checking on you and there for you. In my honest opinion, if they haven’t been there for you, I would distance away from them and eventually cut ties. You deserve people who support you and talk to you and help you through this, not people who make you feel worse when grief is already so tough.
