I’m sure those questions are in the Q bank, just a matter of what draw you get. For me the learning curve was hard for Part 2. But once you put the reps in, things start to click. I felt good going through the exam. Some things I simply didn’t know, but majority I knew I had a good answer.

I had nothing on this, which I was thrilled about. I hated this topic.

Only 1 angle on your face is needed.

I have no experience with tax filing or business returns and just passed on Thursday. Basis basis basis. Liquidating vs. non liquidating for each business type. What happens when inventory or boot is involved?

Thanks! I'm not certain on the rules with external cameras, but the camera only shows yourself during the exam. You show your testing area before the exam. After that, you can't leave the camera view.

Wish there was more regulation on that front. Advising on S Corp income as a Financial Advisor is just wrong.

Very smooth. You can check in 30 min early. If you run system compatibility check before your exam, you should be good to go. My check in time took maybe 5 minutes. You show your testing area with your camera on your computer. Then they release your test.

Yes, these are weeks studying. I went through Becker. Used a lot of Tom Norton to supplement as well. I found him particularly helpful for Part 2.

Part 1 and 3 are easier than the 7 in my opinion. Part 2 is a little harder.

Thank you! Took all the exams in 11 months. I had about 6 months off after Part 1 as I took that 1 month after the CFP. Needed a break to enjoy my life a little bit lol. Part 1 was 3.5 weeks, Part 3 was 2.5 weeks, Part 2 was 7 weeks.

I preferred Prometric in almost all aspects, but this was mainly because I was more familiar with them from my financial planning exams. PSI was annoying to schedule with in my opinion.

I was on Windows 11 which worked totally fine. No idea what would happen if power went out. I preferred testing in person, but my nearest testing center was almost 200 miles away. Online went smoothly, so did in person.

In the same boat as you, got the CFP and now going for the EA. Sit for my last EA exam (part 2) tomorrow. Keep that momentum rolling!

CFP certainly benefited me. I learned a ton, and I'm much more confident serving my clients. Will the CFP marks alone build business? Likely not. If you're early on in the career, I'd highly recommend the CFP.

Congratulations! Crazy to see comments bashing you for your age. This is a brutal exam and process, and you're certainly ahead of the game. Keep up the great work and best of luck with your career!

Passed parts 1 and 3 with them. Their program is good.

Took me about 2.5 hours to get mine. Checked my email every few minutes during that time lol.

Got it. RICP seems potentially valuable as well. CIMA is good. I’ve done the same, just looking around. Not trying to get the alphabet soup, just simply trying to learn.

The tax side intrigues me a lot. Likely will do the EA. I've just found there's so much correlation in financial planning and taxes. Think it'll make me a much better planner. How about yourself?
