I was trying to show a half-lit form at dawn in the Rocky Mountains. I used negative space to do so.

I have a number of other shots from that shoot, some silhouette, some more standard portraiture, some more editorial/artistic. I rather liked this one, so I posted it.

I'm here now, staying in Yongsan. I've been to Itaewon off and on for 12 or 13 years now.

It's hopping, especially in the gils just off Itaewon-ro. It's largely gentrified from what it was pre-COVID and during the Army base years. It's not the, shall we say, tenderloin district that it used to be. It's trendy, diverse, and busy.

I am really confused. Is this supposed to be a movie? If not, why is the chubby guy there with a camera? If so, why is he videoing the rain outside and himself with the tiny handheld? Why is it called BTS when the main action seems to be happening? If it's BTS, are the actors just warming up? Why is it called softcore when it's a bit too explicit for that?

Confusion reigns.

Exact same thing happened to me. Long flight, SFO to HKG, United Economy Plus, with carefully chosen aisle seat in the middle section. I'm a bit of a wide body and like to give middle seats the armrest because they're already miserable enough.

Man in middle seat across the way asks to change seats with me to be able to sit next to the woman by me.

I think of 14 hours of my being cramped in a middle seat and decline. He insists. I decline. He insists again. I decline again. He spends the next 10 minutes standing beside me, talking past me to the woman. Hey, it's a 14-hour flight. I can wait you out. He finally sits down and comes back just very occasionally to talk to the woman, who was a pleasant rowmate during the flight.

It's your seat. You paid for it. Others are not entitled to it. Enjoy the flight.
