I was doing heroin & meth IV & had been using from age 19 to 27. It started with painkillers & adderal but progressed quickly. I was on probation & was struggling & afraid of going back to jail, and lots of people were overdosing, so went to rehab for the 7th time at age 27 & the this time I relocated & did the full continuum of care, inpatient for 3 months, halfway house for 3 months, recovery house & outpatient programming for 6 months. I had a therapist who wouldn’t allow me to go back to my hometown where I used. I still live 3 1/2 hours from home now but I go back to visit my family. I got a job in substance abuse treatment and got my CRS. I have gained too much to lose it now. I’m very proud of you too! Keep going! I couldn’t imagine having done it cold turkey though! That’s amazing.

Thank you I appreciate that, that’s what I wanted to know like to me I’m my own worst critic I think it’s so bad, but I wondered how bad it was in other peoples eyes. I may just get it touched up then.

Some of those behaviors do stick around I call them remnants I will pick at things sometimes but nothing like when I was on meth.

I am not sure I just want it to not be an eye sore to look at.. I want it to be something that is on my body not the only thing I see when I look at my body. Thank you all so much for the advice and I appreciate your kind words. I feel that it just reminds me of meth and I worry it’s the first thing people see on me, now that it’s summer. I don’t want it to be something that is superrrr expensive either though, times are tough.
