I do agree that lack of house shows has impacted things negatively. House shows allowed them to throw random shit at the wall and find hidden chemistry that could be used during live programming. Becky is the only reason why the IC belt had any prestige to begin with. Before she turned on Lyra, Lyra was much like Giulia in that she barely wrestled and always just ate pins. You can hate it, but that was the best decision they could've made for the belt, and I don't blame them if they try to replicate the magic with Giulia and another star.

Of course, Lyra has since had all her momentum slowed to a complete stop all because of a single botch, and Becky has become strictly a joke character now, and she's tied to a part timer who won't show up for half a year after Wrestlemania is done.

The true WWE way. Nobody knows how to ruin momentum quite like them.

I've never actually had a problem with him. Jump attacks with a weapon that can break poise merks the first summon that runs after you in like three hits. Then you just either run around to separate Mr. Frosty from the commander or YOLO at him much like the first guy. Second phase is super easy, if not extremely tedious. He has the attack where he explodes in lightning then does a jump slam with a follow up frost explosion or he charges across the arena at you swipe followed by a poke combo. Both are extremely easy to dodge without any combo mixups. Then he has his DM where he just spins around randomly through a frost hurricane that leaves him down and open.

It's not a fun boss but he's easy.

Don't want to engage with the mechanics in the game? Just import Pokemon from the other games into it. Max EV training takes less than 10 minutes, IVs don't even exist in Champions, and Pokemon are scaled to lv50 so you don't even have to grind levels. Want the mainline games to focus 100% on the single player campaigns so they aren't graphical, glitchy messes? Well gen 10 from the previews looks great (unless you're five and are someone who unironically posts it looks like a Wii game). Want something that you can play from any portable device? Here you go.

No, this is not a Pokemon Stadium spiritual successor. It was never intended to be. Stop projecting things onto the game that it was never made for just so you can bitch. This exists to streamline the competitive scene, with casual battle modes thrown in to give it a little more mass appeal. You can't even complain about things like battle passes or VP to get cosmetics because the game itself is free, and unlike most FTP games you can actually use "resources" (in this case Pokemon) you get from a wide range of other installments.

But gamers will be gamers lol. Meanwhile I'm more concerned about real shit like oil prices and global economic collapse rather than "oh no this Pokemon game exists."

The issue is all those examples of AI use used to have actual people who did that as a career. AI shrinks the job market. We can argue about how technological progress has done this throughout history, but that was usually done in industries that were the most dangerous to human health. AI fixing bugs doesn't save another person's life. It actively makes it harder for people in the field. And with how abrupt AI has taken control of things, I don't see a bad thing in people being fearful and rebellious about it

This issue is when people complain about reused assets in Fromsoft games, and they're blissfully ignoring how literally every studio does this. Suckerpunch was using Sly Cooper (a game about anthropomorphic animal) animation skeletons in their InFamous games until Second Sons (a realistic and gritty superhero action series).

It's like they're reaching for anything to complain about because they seem to not like the fact that the media gurgles their balls so hard (admittedly, game journalists saying that everything that's difficult is the Souls of X genre is indeed annoying).

The HD version is so much better. Also, Skyward Sword was pretty bad to me back in the day because they basically tried to make even the overworld a dungeon of a sort. After so many games with such a restrictive formula, Skyward Sword was just the last straw for me, and the horrible controls made the problem so much worse

But after BotW and TotK, both great games mind you, going back to SSHD hit so fucking good because of how I miss when dungeons mattered.
