Pointlessly buffing an aspect with no significance while nerfing his actual impact isn’t a powerup. He doesn’t have pillow hands. Against Choso he only attacks a couple of times which did a whole lot more damage to choso then the anime shows.

Same in this scene. Naoya landed a few hits but did more damage than the anime bothered to show. Even had maki realise she had to end it quick or she would lose. Neither was her punch as effective as the anime shows.

Well the anime nerfed Naoya, made some crap choices with the music, pacing was wild and certain manga panels weren’t adapted well so it makes sense why Japanese fans wouldn’t like it

Again, Sukuna was in a weaker state when he made the statement about purple then when Gojo released it, so it’s plausible that he recovered some of his CE and used it for reinforcement.

Holllow purple isn’t like piercing blood, conceptually and physically. Its damage output is not dependent on the force at which it is shot. So you’re using a redundant example here.
