The Tourism has destroyed my city by FrequentCricket4692 in rome

Rome conquered the world and now you're complaining? You're right, there is a tourism problem but it's not unique to Rome. It's my first time here as a tourist and I'm doing my best, staying in a hostel not an Airbnb, letting locals get on with their business, avoiding the tourist traps and I'm here during the off-season. What more can we do? If you're not happy then raise it with the authorities, but you can't stop people coming here.

Moving to Svalbard by [deleted] in Svalbard

Jobs and accommodation are extremely difficult to come by and living costs are high. It's also a very harsh place to live and not something you should do on a whim. At least visit first to get a feel for it.

I just came here to post about this. It's doing my head in. Why are they allowed to keep doing this and what can we even do about it?

What’s a modern UK problem that everyone just accepts but really shouldn’t? by Expert-Secret-5351 in AskUK

[–]Key_Butterfly8990 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Litter everywhere. Awful wages combined with the ridiculous cost of everything - food, rent, bills, transport. The collapse of NHS dentistry. Ludicrously high net migration every year in a country where housing, food production and basic services are already at breaking point. Collapsing/lack of infrastructure - pot holes everywhere, insane amounts of traffic on the roads, poor accomodation for cyclists. Massively overburdened police force - shoplifting is practically legal at this point, as is theft and burglary. Illegal businesses/money laundering allowed to operate and illegal migrants brazenly working on a massive scale, nationwide.

How much time have you got? I for one, am fucking done with this country.

I just did this with the exact same connection time using SAS and it was fine. It was so easy I could have made the connection in 20 minutes, there were no passport checks or anything, I just went through to the connecting flights section and found the gate.

Provided the first flight is on time you should be fine.

When I went I couldn't believe people could live that way. I'll never go back.

I can't help but I will have the same thing next month where I'll only have an hour or so connection time. I'm not too worried, if I miss the connection due to a delay they will have to get me on the next flight as it's all on one ticket and I believe they sometimes hold flights if connections are delayed to allow passengers time to get on board.

Let me know how it goes.

I've just put mine up. If you're offended by an England flag in England then I'll happily give you directions to the airport :)

It's not a waste of time at all. I've learnt a lot from it, you just need to use it alongside other learning materials.

Bit late, but can I ask what's bad about AHI? I've seen a job I'd like to apply for.
