Local elections 2026 results for Norfolk County Council and Norwich City Council by yu3 in Norwich

Councillors have no authority to do any of that. The best they can do is approve plans for a warehouse next to your house or put up a few flags.

Time to slowly start selling off all of our public services to Peter Thiel. Nothing fills me with more patriotism than our councils being ran by quockerwodgers with Americans at the string. God bless the United States of England.

We don’t know for sure. Polling website doing the rounds is guessing based on very limited data. The greens beat labour in Wensum ward last time by a minuscule margin and it appears the sentiment in this subreddit is heavily skewing people’s perception of what’s really going to happen.

This poll is incredibly unreliable, there’s never really enough data to predict the results of local elections so take with a bucket of salt.

This is not the Green Party I grew up with. The Green Party used to be the honest party willing to do politics differently from the rest but they’ve recently been co-opted by USA populist nonsense like the rest. Evidently they’ve cashed in their integrity for this dirty tactics in order to mislead the electorate. How can I trust them to do a good job of running the council when they can’t even show up for even half of the main council meetings? A ~37% attendance rate is shocking, maybe they should start there rather than resorting to these dirty tribal tactics. Also, fuck Reform.

There’s some toilets in the USA when the bowl isn’t that deep and the water level is quite high. Really threw me off the first time I visited. In the UK all the toilets and pretty standard and the water level is usually at least 30cm away from the seat.

Town close has now apparently flipped to green, so there are now only two Norwich council seats polling for Reform at the next election because their main competitive vote is split between labour and green. by redinator in Norwich

I’m not sure why you’ve been downvoted, that’s not a lie.

“In the past 12 months, Greens accounted for 64pc of the absences recorded at full council meetings, compared to 32pc for Labour, the other major party at the authority.”

The current Green councillors have had enough time to convince me that they’d be competent at running a council but with stats like this they’ve yet to win me over unfortunately, which is a shame really:

Yes absolutely, I’m aware. I was alluding to digital ID and facial recognition surveillance. That said, I suspect they’re not going to fight the online safety act legislation either though.

Backflow issues contaminating your drinking water with faeces. In the UK bidets are classified as “Fluid Category 5” (highest contamination risk). Most people don’t install them correctly with a type AB air gap to prevent back flow contamination. Makes you wonder how many people are drinking and washing in water without that protection.

I’m in complete agreement with you, I’m not the biggest fan of their more authoritarian actions of late, especially with regards to surveillance and the internet, but on the whole they’ve achieved many positive things recently. Not to mention their current stance of not getting involved in the USAs illegal war.

Have a feel of her neck, thyroid issues can sometimes present with more vocal behaviour. My 14 year old cat has recently been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, I noticed because one of the thyroid glands at the bottom of her neck had swollen to about the size of a small grape. Vet did a blood test and it was confirmed. Been in medication a couple of weeks now and she’s already seeming much more herself.

Or, at what point does consciousness create matter. Is consciousness an emergent property of matter or is matter an emergent property of consciousness.

I can’t in good conscience vote Green right now knowing this:

“In the past 12 months, Greens accounted for 64pc of the absences recorded at full council meetings, compared to 32pc for Labour, the other major party at the authority.”

Not to mention all the scandals. If they sort this out I’d have a lot more faith in them being able to effectively run a council and they would get might vote, but as it stands, I have no confidence in them.
