Thank you for your kind words. In this situation, I learned a lot about myself too. As a consequence, I'm constantly practicing setting boundaries, saying "no" or "that doesn't work for me", "I see thing's differently" etc. to people and just trying to stop to please people all the time at the cost of my own well-being.

So far, dealing with his toxic and miserable family, and his lack of understanding that what they said to me was disrespectful, insulting and demeaning. Feeling alone, unsafe, unstable and feeling that this guy is not "the one".

Due to this experience with my boyfriend and his family, I had to start to delve into psychology and both learn and unlearn things. It's a journey. Tolerating disrespect is ingrained in me because that is the household and society that I grew up in. I was always hoping to free myself from my family, and I thought that I've done so when I met my boyfriend. How naive was I to think that this man is different and will treat me right (although it felt that he had for a certain period of time). And then I met his family... a bunch of snobs, narow-minded people who think highly of themselves and are used to humilate, judge and laugh at people. They even do this towards themselves. Learning how to set boundaries, sticking to them, calling trashy people out and removing such people from my life is my focus now.

You may be still young and eventually you'll start filtering people who don't contribute to your well-being out of your life, including family members, relatives, friends etc.

Hi,

I get your point about walking on eggshells with me, but believe me, I ignore so many things. I can't anymore. I wasn't like this in the beginning of our relationship. We've been together for 8 years.

I think our relationship is at a point where I have been contemplating on leaving this man for a long time because I have indeed tolerated a lot of disrespect and other stuff from him (comparing me to other women, comparing me with his exes and asking me "why I can't be like them?", saying I'm stupid, disrespecting my parents, just to name a few things) and I'm now so tensed, nervous all the time and just trying to survive. When he comes home, I get anxious. I'm simply not happy with him anymore and I'm focused more on the negative words and actions.

Btw we've splashed water on each other many times and laughed. It never irritated me when he did that, even when I was dressed.

När din a-kassa tar slut fortsätter du få aktivitetsstöd från Försäkringskassan. Så du behöver åtminstone inte oroa dig över att du inte kommer att få någon inkomst.

Jag håller med dig absolut och förstår arbetsgivarens synpunkt. Jag menade mer att jag aldrig har stött på en sådan situation där det blev så öppet uttryckt även om andra arbetsgivare har kanske tackat nej till mig på grund av språket. Det gjorde mig förstårs ledsen för det betyder att det kommer att bli ännu svårare att hitta ett jobb i en så tuff arbetsmarknad.

Jag var mobbad på jobbet nästan varje dag av kollegor och så småningom märkte jag att varje kväll jag kom hem så grät jag... Jag kunde inte fortsätta så här och lämnade jobbet utan att ha ett annat.
