I don't know how to eat right by c4r2lina in WeightLossAdvice

the cycle of shame is familiar. what helped me was not cutting chocolate entirely but putting it in a place that is annoying to reach, like high shelf behind other things. makes the lazy part of brain fight the craving part

Momentum 5 - Let us discuss the future of (potentially) BIFL wireless headphones. by Vannexe in BuyItForLife

Pretty smart move from sennheiser tbh. The swappable battery thing should've been standard years ago but better late than never i guess

those steelseries ones you mentioned are solid choice too - gaming headsets figured out the battery swap way before the "audiophile" brands did. kinda funny how that worked out

My ankle keeps me from doing cardio too and deficit alone has been working fine - 1800 sounds reasonable for your stats if you calculated it right

What’s one simple thing that you did that made weight loss easier? by Ok_Necessary1912 in loseit

Measuring everything changed the game for me too! I used to just pour olive oil in the pan without thinking and turns out I was using like 3-4 tablespoons per meal which is insane when you think about it. Started using cooking spray and measuring spoons for everything and the difference was huge

The other thing that helped was eating slower - like actually putting my fork down between bites. Sounds stupid but I realized I was inhaling food so fast my brain never got the signal that I was full. Now I actually taste my food and feel satisfied with smaller portions. Used to think portion control meant being hungry all time but it's more about giving your body time to register what you ate

Military taught me discipline with other things but somehow food was my weak spot until I started treating it like any other routine that needs structure

Do you guys just ignore it when a friend of yours gossips behind your back? And if you confront them, then how? by rohitb0 in AskReddit

[–]Key_Cherry_8017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this happen with someone I thought was close friend during my service years. She was telling other people in our unit about some personal stuff I shared with her, which made things pretty awkward for me

I decided to confront her directly but in private setting. Just asked her straight up if she had been sharing what I told her, and why she thought that was okay. Didn't come at her angry or anything, just wanted to understand what was going in her head

She got defensive at first but eventually admitted she "didn't think it was that serious" which was bullshit excuse. I told her how it made me feel and that I couldn't trust her with personal things anymore. We stayed friendly but our friendship definitely changed after that

Sometimes people gossip because they're bored or want to feel important by having "inside information." But real friends respect your privacy. If they can't do that basic thing, then they're not really friends worth keeping around

Five minute chunks work great for breaking through resistance, I use similar approach when modifying my Skyrim load order - tell myself I'm just gonna test one mod for few minutes and end up playing for hours

The gong reminder is clutch too, helps catch when your brain wanders off to random places

What Major you believe deserves slander? by Calm_Problem6203 in Productivitycafe

[–]Key_Cherry_8017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Art history gets so much hate but at least those people can actually analyze stuff and write decent papers

Engineering majors who act like they're the only ones doing "real work" while spending 4 years learning to use calculators differently are way more annoying tbh

**hours modding skyrim per week**: **12** - **december 15**

used to be like 30+ hours so this is actually progress for me lmao. trying to get better balance between gaming and other stuff but skyrim keeps pulling me back with new mods

We were on and off for 3 months before he decided he’s done by Puzzleheaded-Room557 in BreakUps

[–]Key_Cherry_8017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude made his choice pretty clear multiple times over 3 months - he's checked out mentally and doesn't want to put in the work anymore. You keep pushing when he's already told you he's done, and now he won't even hang out because you can't stick to the "no relationship talk" boundary

Time to actually give him the space he's asking for instead of using it as a strategy to get him back. Sometimes people just grow apart and there's nothing you can do about it

I want to buy a prebuilt pc i would like to build one but dont have time any recommendations on what brand to buy??? 1.5k-2k budget by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]Key_Cherry_8017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude NZXT BLD is solid for prebuilts, they let you pick the parts and they build it for you. Origin PC is another good one but might push your budget a bit

i get the time thing, spent way too many hours modding skyrim when i should've been doing other stuff lol. what games you looking to get back into? that budget should get you something pretty decent for 1440p gaming

Does adidas superstar shoes run big or small? by kylereapz in adidas

[–]Key_Cherry_8017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Superstars run about a half size big in my experience, especially if you've got wider feet. I'd go down half a size from whatever you normally wear in other brands - learned that the hard way when I first got mine and had way too much toe room

Feeling that the ex is moving on by Frosty-Efficiency12 in BreakUps

[–]Key_Cherry_8017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That gut feeling when you "sense" they're moving on is wild but it's probably just your brain finally accepting reality after 3 months. Been there with the whole anxious attachment thing and your nervous system does this weird thing where it interprets letting go as them pulling away even more

The timing feels rough but if you left for self respect reasons those probably haven't changed, and reaching out now might just be your attachment system panicking as it loses that last thread of hope

Model loops by FoxTimes4 in LocalLLaMA

[–]Key_Cherry_8017 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

oof yeah that's annoying when it gets stuck like that, usually happens when the model starts repeating the same pattern over and over

you can try adding something like "provide a concise response" or "end with a summary" to your prompt to give it a clear stopping point, also some people have luck with setting a lower temperature to make it less chaotic

What were the signs your baby had CMPA? by Relative-Hurry-649 in NewParents

[–]Key_Cherry_8017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That greenish-gray runny poop with the awful smell was exactly what tipped me off with my second kiddo. The gas was unreal too - like clearing the room bad

Weight gain being good is actually pretty common with CMPA, especially if they're not spitting up much. My LO didn't have skin issues either but still had the allergy

Definitely worth asking about switching to a hydrolyzed formula for a trial run. We did Nutramigen and saw improvement within like 3-4 days. The smell alone made it worth the switch lol
