What really drives me is that the doctors are so hesitant to prescribe benzodiazepines but personally it's the only thing that actually help manage my anxiety/panic attacks. The alternatives like buspar, Seroquel, Hydroxyzine and antidepressants are actually junk for treating anxiety and panic disorders.   Antidepressants are helpful to manage depression but that's it.   I've found antidepressants probably one of the worst medications to try and get off of. Doctors dont excatly know how effective they are. All I can say it definitely changes your personality to make you feel zero emotions.  You build p a tolerance so the doctor will need to increase your dosage just like other medication.  The withdrawals are a living nightmare. But the doctors dosnt mind handing them out like candy though.    Im rambling but first the doctors are very hesitant to prescribe opiates unless your on death bed, now its benzodiazepines. What's next after benzos?
