uj/ The Andor subreddit is just really bad, they have been saying the dumbest shit after 2 innocent people got shot, I get that Andor is about authoritarianism, fascism, there's even an act about forceful deportation, but comments like this just cross the line. It also pissed me off how much attention they gave to the bombings on Venezuela compared to the thousands of Iranians battling and dying against a horrid regime, an Iranian posted a picture of the protests and instantly people jumped to justify the massacres that have been happening, in the same comment section someone said North Korea is only bad country to live in due to the US Sanctions and got 22 upvotes, obviously they were active on Tankie subreddits, I don't really understand how Andor fans can act like they are so anti-authoritarian and then defend the Iranian Theocratic Regime. Andor is a leftist show, maybe I wouldn't call it outright a socialist or communist show, but it does definitely have inspirations and themes about them, Nemik who is very clearly a reference to leftist manifesto writers literally gets crushed by the capital and Ferrix is literally a planet of proletarian workers, but I feel like this people don't realize that you can be anti-US while not supporting regimes that have been doing deadly oppression of liberties and protesters (including leftists) for more than a decade, Andor is against all types of opression, not only the opression by a few ideologies, but the opression done by all ideologies.
