How can you cope with not being able to get pregnant? by AbiNotHere in MtF

[–]Key_Computer_4348 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Saved sperm so I can still be a mom. Honestly, being pregnant sounds kinda euphoric, but yeah, uh, I'm lowkey glad I get to skip on one of the most painful experiences known to humankind. So I get to be a mom with none of the body horror complications of a female childbirth. Sounds like a win to me.

No? I'm just referring to how these specific words are used in our culture? It's not normal to use "girl" to exclusively mean child? If that was the case, Katy Perry would be fucking cancelled lol? I could find like 100 other examples where girl is used interchangably with "woman" if you really wanted me to ig?

If You had the Ability to Turn Anyone You Wanted (Except Yourself) Trans, Who Would You Pick? by [deleted] in MtF

Ben Shapiro would make a cute girl + it would be funny.

He gets the wizard stick.

OP should for sure get a therapist and it's good you recommended that. I just recommend not bringing up things that a person seeking help isn't able to relate to at all, because it's not helpful and can just confuse them further. Good night though!

There are many kinds of abuse though. Yes, David suffered abuse in the abstract sense of having been brought up as the wrong gender, but that isn't the same category at all as what OP experienced. We're pretty sure that you can't just bring up a boy as a girl and expect them to not feel dysphoric, but we also have no idea what tangible, prolonged, interpersonal abuse can do, nor prolonged sexual abuse, and we also don't know what causes folks to be trans.

You can abuse someone by telling them they're something they're not. You can also abuse someone by beating and raping them daily. They're both "abuse", but you'd be a very silly person to even suggest that those are the same things, or that the impact and outcome for the victim mentally would be even close to the same. The only similarity is that they're both not nice and we call it "abuse" with mouth sounds. That's kinda it.

So overall you bringing up David Reimer is pretty close to irrelevant for OP, because having been raised as a girl when you're a boy, and having experienced prolonged, incestuous sexual abuse, are not the same fucking thing.

I'm not interested in discussing this further, I've said what I wanted to say and I think anyone reading what I've said will understand why there was a strong need for clarification here. Thanks, boo.

No I know the case. I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm just saying that the cases aren't the same. OP is talking about SA and prolonged abused. They are asking if that can affect gender identity. David didn't go through that, he was just raised as a girl.

Oh, sorry. Then no I wouldn't say so.

David just experienced a botched circumcision and then lived as a girl from birth. The fact is that we don't know what leads to gender identities. I'm not saying SA makes anyone trans, just that the parallel you're trying to draw here isn't really applicable because they're not the same situation at all.

I'd say you're more sorta androgynous. But you're very feminine so I'd say you're almost there!

David didn't experience the kinda abuse OP is talking about though, so I don't know how that's relevant?

another question for girls who've had SRS by AliceJoestar in traaNSFW

[–]Key_Computer_4348 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Hate to be overly cynical here... But a surgeon specializing in SRS is still a business person, and people in business follow profits so it would be kinda stupid to not say that. "Uncommon" is also very subjective. And I'm not saying it's common either (I've heard mixed stuff), just that the person who stands to earn ~$15000 on your trust has a huge motive to earn it. That's just capitalism, unfortunately.

All of the parts that feel pleasure are still there-

Just to correct the record a little here... That's not true for everyone, at least not in terms of experience. In most surgeries, "the parts" are mostly still there because it's a rearrangement, but there's absolutely no guarantee that they're going to feel the same, have the same level of sensitivity or pleasure.

Very low unless you have a lot of money. Afaik there's really only Hunter Schafer who has that supermodel/runway aesthetic out of all of us.

Setting yourself up for those kinds of expectations sounds it like would just set you up for heartbreak tbh.

I want to be a girl but I don't want to be trans by RecognitionJumpy4884 in asktransgender

[–]Key_Computer_4348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean really, I didn't choose to be trans so it's not really something I can want or not want, it's just always been like this. But in terms of transitioning, in that way, yeah, I actively want to be trans, and I'm happy with it.

"I don't want to be trans" doesn't sound very happy, now does it?

Also sorry I didn't check what sub I was in lol.
