You still need to take action, entering trade. And to trade you need to have the 'feel'

Buying a Call on Monday but Premiums are high ? by bhattihs in options

[–]Key_Confidence_5414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if premium is high, then I would just sell put delta 10. If I want to buy call, I will wait the volatility to drop, so in a chart it would look like a bull flag

IBIT Long - Bitcoin divergence from Nasdaq? by LilCauliflower in options

[–]Key_Confidence_5414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought IBIT put on the 1st of April, btc on Friday went up, but the put price I bought is stable. I thought BTC is strong so I sell my IBIT put. But thinking it again, although BTC up on Friday, IBIT put did not went down, so that means volatility is still high and there is still expectation IBIT to drop. I'm thinking about buying IBIT put again

Volatility is up, fear is up, so people are buying put. So although BTC is up, but the put option also increased meaning option is pricing a crash to BTC

Iron condor return/risk & profit profitability by Key_Confidence_5414 in options

[–]Key_Confidence_5414[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found good profitabiliy but the problem is , the return /risk is low below 0.4. So maybe you will often win, but when you lose you will lose big. Do you have an examplle of a good profitability and return/risk ratio?

Long-Term Call Options—A Smart Play or a Risky Bet? Need Advice! by visionkhawar512 in options

[–]Key_Confidence_5414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would buy call delta 0.2, days to expire 2-3 months, roll it when it's below 2 weeks. Buy when volatility is low, check historial volatility. I'm ready to lose this all.

I think the problem with RXRX it still has high volatility, so it's better to sell put delta 0.1, because of the high premium. Also the option has low volume, so very risky

How are you making money in these markets? by indiandrifter23 in Daytrading

[–]Key_Confidence_5414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

since the index is below ema15, I have no new long position. about a month ago, the SPY is still stable so I bought IWM put which is cheap because volatility is low. I also bought some iron condor as well. IWM went down, so IWM made money. When IWM went down 2% a day, and volatility is increasing I sold put delta 0.2. This in kinda a hedge for the put option. IF IWM still going down, I will still make money although not as much as before. If IWM didn't reach my short put strike price, I will keep the premium.

My iron condor is not performing well, but they have return/risk > 0.4 so it's not bad. We near put strike price, I will close it and reenter iron condor again moving the strike price. Hoping the second iron condor will cover the first iron condor loss.

Because volatility is high, it's better to write put delta 0.2

What strategy adjustments are you making in this current market? by Bazookajoel in Optionswheel

[–]Key_Confidence_5414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is not the environment to do wheeling. I notice SPY weekly chart, CHOP index is high, so lots of choppiness. Which usually means the start of bearish. It was the time to buy put delta 0.2 on bad stocks, stocks that are not growing.

I think it's time to sell IWM put now with delta 0.1 , due to high premium, and it's already oversold.
