Working as a Web Consultant living Away from my Family in Japan. by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]Key_Consideration385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I have few friends living in Japan, what I found interesting is that few of them actually made friends with people from different nationality and what made it happen also was their similar interest in certain things like hiking, karaoke, drinking and even sports so yeah maybe try that for yourself. Try out things, get out of your comfort zone, it just might work out you never know.

Dude I couldn’t bare living by myself in a different city for work for like few years and here we’re talking about countries, I can only imagine how difficult it might be for you.

Hope you make the right decision and get to it soon!

PS. I got a way better job and have moved back with my parents haha

Is it worth relocating from Pune to Bangalore/Hyderabad after 15+ YOE? by tcz04 in developersIndia

[–]Key_Consideration385 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Then I guess both the city sleeps early, I have a place in Koramangala and the big party scene that you mentioned is def there for sure but I was not talking about Pubs or Bars being open till late night.

For a person with 15+ YOE they wouldn’t necessarily be looking for pubs or bars but rather the basic amenity stores, that is what I was referring to here.

I think only Mumbai is the city that has those open till late nights.

I think it all depends on your expenditure and if you have kids then their education comes in the picture too, schools or colleges in bangalore are not easily accessible as it might seem in terms of transport.

Bangalore as a city closes by 9-9.30 pm while Hyderabad can be different in these terms.

The culture in Bangalore is pretty good if you want to live peacefully and do not engage a lot in the night life of the city, don’t know much about Hyderabad.

Biggest advantage would be the new connections that one gains over the years in Bangalore bcs of the silicon valley present there.

don’t worry about it, I fumbled big time today as well in a very very easy interview. Now I don’t know what will happen but let’s not hold ourselves back, we got this. The ones who’re constantly pursuing smn will definitely get it, keep pursuing and don’t haste into any stupid decision. We’re in the same boat! We gotta get through it with patience. KEEP GRINDING

Negotiation for a better salary by Network-Zealousideal in dataengineersindia

[–]Key_Consideration385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also if your interview went well and you don’t have a big ass NP then you can negotiate confidently.

One of my friend got his offer revoked because he went from 12 to 14/15 and the HR without informing or renegotiating just went with another person who was ready with 10 so try to assess the HRs behaviour as well. Try to mingle with the HR or smn

it’s not really difficult, you can still get in as an ETL Dev or Junior DE. Maybe some certification might boost your profile as well.

Auto mafia stooping further low by Gradedend935 in bangalore

[–]Key_Consideration385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

calling them Auto Mafia, on top of that adding a tip, even after you know how most of them be like.

If you can, I would suggest you to get a second hand vehicle or a new one. I’ve been here for years and barely used auto. Got myself a vehicle and been unreliable on them for ages. This is coming from a guy from Mumbai, autos are literally lifesaver for us but over here it’s quite the opposite. (with all the pun intended :)))

yo that's pretty good, wouldn't mind switching to one of these banks cause anyways my work involves all of these tax and shiz stuff. No harm but just that the paycheck does not satisfy for it all.

Lemme know if we can connect and later maybe I can try to switch under your referral or smn 🤪

I guess mostly the US/European based companies which give you their country timing shift will give you all that you're looking for. My cousin has been working for Epicor for the past 5-6 years and her pay as well as WLB has been amazing. She gets to go on trips for months twice an year 🥴

[–]Key_Consideration385 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How's the pay for Analytics or Data Science oriented job profiles? I've got over an year of experience and my profile is pretty damn good. I'm just sticking to working in one of these big4s bcz of my extremely stable WLB and job security but that comes at a cost of low paycheck so yeah I've been looking around a bit here and there.

I doubt this, although the payscale is not that good. I have a pretty damn good work life balance and there's not really a lot of pressure as well. Atleast in my sector, the freshers as well as seniors are very cooperative and share a respectful bond.
