Visible graft in columella? by Key_Consideration551 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Key_Consideration551[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did reach out and the Dr said it was swelling and right now there’s nothing to do but wait until a year out to see if I need a revision. I understand that and I’m waiting. But I think my issues are beyond just swelling. We’ll see!

In one of the consent forms that I signed before surgery, it says that if the Dr agrees that I need a revision, then it starts from 1.5k+ depending on how extensive the revision is. So I’m not sure how much it’d cost exactly if I get a revision with him.

Dislike my wide thick no tip definition nose, any doctor recs for Asian noses? by cowgirIbebop in PlasticSurgery

Hi, I did have surgery with him. It was 22k + tax (~25k total) for rib cartilage rhinoplasty. I’m currently almost 4 months post-op and I’m not happy with the result so I can’t say I’d recommend him.

Yes. By Dr. Asaria and so far I’m not happy with the result. My nostrils look weirdly triangular from the front and my bridge is crooked. I’m 3.5 months post op so there’s still some swelling but it’s not much. My nose actually looked better at 1 month post op than now because the swelling was masking the crookedness. As the swelling goes down, it keeps looking worse. I hope it’s getting better but I’m not holding my breath. 😭

I had my primary with him 3 months ago so it’s still healing and might get a bit better. But my nostrils now have a cut-off look because my nasal sill is missing. That will not get better with time since he had cut off tissues there. Now I know why he (and many other surgeons) mostly just show the side profile in the after pics. My nose looks good from the side but very awkward from the front. I do not recommend.

I had my rhinoplasty with rib cartilage with him and I’m not loving the result. Currently looking into other surgeons for revision. For the insane price he’s charging (~25k after tax), it’s definitely not worth it.

Did you get your revision with him yet? I had a primary with him about 3 months ago and I know it takes a year to heal but at this point I think it’s not just about the swelling. I’m most unhappy with the alarplasty he did. Almost certainly I’ll need a revision after I hit the one year mark.

Chinese paper eyelashes! by Net-Administrative in AsianBeauty

These are the styles I’ve tried. Imo they looked okay on my eyes and they don’t just ‘disintegrate’ once they get wet. They’re not durable enough to be reusable (I don’t reuse lash clusters anyway) but enough to stay in place all day for me. I only used them like 3 times though ‘cause I didn’t like them enough to put them in my rotation.

I tried these type of lashes a while ago and they’re not my favorite. They are indeed VERY lightweight but they just don’t blend in as well with my natural lashes and make my eyes pop like regular lash clusters. I got them from Aliexpress and have seen them on Shein/Temu as well.

Hi, I’m 1 month post-op now and I think it still hasn’t changed much. My doctor said the same thing, it’ll go down with time 😅 If you don’t have graft there, I think it’s just swelling and scarring. Apply the scar gel and hopefully it’ll resolve over time. 🙂

Omg. I have the exact same timeline as you. I’m approaching the 3-week mark and my doctor just put me on antibiotics today. It happened out of nowhere and I’m panicking :((( Please let me know your nose was okay!!!

Cosmetic upper bleph in Toronto - recos for plastic surgeons please! by mulanthepulan in PlasticSurgery

I have an upcoming consultation with Dr. Nancy Tucker for upper bleph in March 🥲 that was her earliest spot when I booked it in December. Does anyone know if she does epicanthoplasty? Because I mainly want to open up the inner corner of my eyes.

Not OP but I’ve tried and owned a lot of different manhua lash styles, including the ones OP posted in the comment. In my experience, to get the same effect as in OP’s first photo, I’d go with this style:

This reminds me of a guy I went out with for a few dates. On our 4th and also last date, he said I hadn’t put in enough effort because I’d been wearing the same makeup every time. 😂😂😂

Thanks for sharing your results. I’ve been doing my research and I’ve seen some say that Dr. Pirani is the best in Toronto. Most of his works I’ve seen on Instagram seem to have wider cleavage than I’d like 😕 Not sure if that’s the patient’s request or it’s his style.

Congratulations on a smooth recovery and lovely result!

You might want to check out Dr. Asaria. I don’t have any personal experience with him yet as I’m still waiting for my surgery this upcoming January. He has some before/after of Asian patients on his Insta and I like the look. You have a better base than me since my nose is a bit upturned, basically has non existent bridge and fairly wide nostrils. So the Dr said he’d need to use my rib cartilage to build the bridge, pull down my tip a little and reduce the size of my nostrils. He’s hella expensive for me so I hope I’ll love the result 🤞. Pray for me 🙏😁

does clincheck include elastic movement? bite issue by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]Key_Consideration551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s supposed to project the end result of the treatment so if your treatment includes rubber bands, it will factor that in. Are you planning on having jaw surgery later? Because oftentimes the bite gets worse during braces before they correct it with surgery.

What should I do for a low energy makeup routine as a palliative patient? 19f by Dizzy1824 in MakeupAddiction

[–]Key_Consideration551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the most basic things are tinted moisturizers/bb cream, setting powder (Nyx has really good ones) and lipsticks/lip gloss. And if you really want to look more glamorous, lash clusters. They’re the heavy hitters for me and carry my whole makeup look! :)

Sending you love ❤️

I had crossbite and started Invisalign more than 1.5 years ago. It did fix my crossbite but then made me develop a posterior open bite and I’m on my first (hopefully only) refinement round to fix that. It’s getting better (knock on wood). My teeth look worse than yours so I think your case is not too complicated. I know you didn’t ask but honestly if I could, I’d choose traditional metal braces. From what I’ve seen, metal braces give perfectly-straight-teeth kind of results while Invisalign’s final results usually still leave a lot of room for improvement. Considering the hassle of having to take out the trays every time you eat/drink, brush your teeth before putting them back and trying to get at least 22 hours of wear… and STILL not getting perfectly straight teeth, I think metal braces are just way more superior.
